I am personally very excited to see a hero like this (especially when I was stupid lucky enough to pull her). I got hardcore destroyed this last raid tournament due to at least 3 Alfrike/Mother North defenses. Now I finally have some kind of direct response to her other than a lucky starting board or resist roll.
This type of video is great and I appreciate it. Hope every gets some good draws this Christmas! Santa event was really kind to me again this year and my 22 EHT got me Krampus, Pengi and Hanitra. Unfortunately I only have 4 scopes for Krampus and Pengi but since I already had Krampus at least I leveled his costume (it's been great so far...nothing better than having his taunt up + he dodges the attack lol). In a little over 2 years of play I have 7 Legendary hero's who are not plain Season 1 and now I have 10...once I get the accession mats lol.
Yes when I saw her I thought way better than costume kad. So glad someone else saw the amazing synergy. If they nurf her that would be really frustrating given all the recent over the top heros they have recently got out. A small token of a hero like this shouldn't mess with the general dynamics of the game too much.
I wouldn’t say that she’s way better then c Kad, but I would say that I think I prefer her. If they nerf it’s only because she’s a HOTM. Event heroes can be more OP without disrupting the game but HOTM that are too strong can have really annoying impacts on the game-like Telluria being the tank everywhere lol. I certainly do not think Hanitra needs a nerf though
6:55 I don't think that's correct. She will resist Miki, but not hel proteus and alfrike. Hel and proteus just block gaining mana, and if I remember correctly alfrike doesn't actually block the use of special skills but forces the targets to cast mindless attack. The game treats these differently. Actually with her passive ganing mana way faster, she will be more likely to cast mindless attack when hit by alfrike. I tested her and I think she gains 3 buffs so 15% mana just from her own special. btw does the 2nd bullet point mean that she will not face any damage at all if opponents special words it as "max health reduction" instead of "dealing damage"?
As far as I recall, Miki has the same icon and he resists Hel and Alfrike so Hanitra should as well. If enemies only reduce max health and Hanitra’s buffs are active she’ll resist it.

Hanitra can transform to very fast by herself. She gets three buffs from her special meaning she will get 15% mana and with 14% mana generation she is going to need 6 tiles to recharge.
Does resistance to HP reduction get an icon? And it looks like 15% mana gain is only enough to support a very fast charge if you have a level 29 mana troop. With 20% mana from 4 buffs you only need a level 5 mana troop.
The way I understand it, Hanitra's mana bar fills by 5% every time she receives a buff. Her special skill gives her a dodge buff, a max health resist buff, and an elemental link buff, so after her special goes off, she should start again with 15% of her mana bar filled. If that is true, then she should be able to refill her mana bar in 7 tiles (functionally very fast speed) even with no mana troop at all, since each tile is normally worth 12.5% of a fast hero's mana bar. Using sufficiently leveled mana troops or receiving additional buffs from other heroes might even allow her to refill her mana bar in only 6 tiles (two normal matches or one ghosted match). She's also a monk, so also gets a 4% mana bonus with full emblems (effectively lowering the troop requirement by 12 levels).
Mostly correct. There’s no such thing as “functionally very fast” though. If her mana bar is 15% filled then she’ll need a 14% mana boost to charge in 6 tiles. This can be accomplished in various ways 👍🏻

To charge in 6 tiles, she will of course need a higher level mana troop (or other mana boost) than a very fast hero would, but the number of tiles to reach full charge (7, reducible to 6 with high enough mana troop) is the same as for very fast heroes.

Most review about her are quite positive, obviously she's one decent addition to end the year 2021, although she may not be the best. After pulling her with my 1 and only epic golden coin yesterday, I will certainly bring her to Tier 3 (70/70) but since I already have Kadilen (non costume version) to reduce special dmg (not dodge, no heal, but can hit all) and since Hanitra is more of a supporting & defensive character, for now I'm not sure yet if I'm gonna invest into her all the way to max. Will see.
Chosing to level non-costume Kadilen over Hanitra is a huge mistake, at least in most players' eyes. She is well out of the meta in terms of her special, whereas Hanitra fits perfectly into the luck-based dodging and Alfrike countering that is more common nowadays. It's just my opinion, I know, but I'd hate to see you waste time and resources on a below average hero, over one of the better support/counter heroes in the game.

Before pulling her, both my Lianna and Kailen have already been upgraded to 70 and stayed at 70 for a long time. Before you told me it is a huge mistake, pls kindly READ AGAIN lolz, no one is choosing anything, the only CHOICE is whether to invest into her for L80 or keep my resources for future 5s heroes (one of the best 5s tank, or healer, or dmg dealer) ! Whoosh Whoosh ! LOLz ....(bringing her to L70 to be the same as my only Lianna and Kadilen is a NO-BRAINER). I have seen enough reviews in these few days and everyone is saying the same about her being specially created to be an Alfrike-counter, hence I already said she's one decent addition. But hey: Lianna L70 + Kadilen L70 + Hanitra (will be L70) .... so where's the huge mistake? hahaha :D
I pulled 2 of her and I'm trying to get her maxed out (I already have the limit break materials for holy - other option is Akkorog). Unfortunately, I'm desperately in need of a tome of tactics. My only tome got used on Gaillard.
Interesting perspective, I had a similar impression about her on defense when first reading her card on the forums -- she looks to be annoying on defense (my poor Lepiota is crying), her Monk class and passive skills alone are painful to read. Do we know if cKad and Hanitra dodge buffs will stack? -- if they stack, then facing both on the same defense would be super annoying (cKad giving minion boosted health and Hanitra giving boosted health)! My initial thought of a possible counter attack team would be comprised of a Bera-Freya minion pair (the minions alone could shred Hanitra to dust), along with Russell; cSabina would be great too as a counter, although Hanitra's Monk class could withstand the buff block ailment. Overall, I anticipate Hanitra will be annoying to face against on defense -- I'm sure we will find out soon enough, lol. I believe SG did a great job with Hanitra, she looks solid, despite not doing any initial hit special skill dmg.
Unfortunately, similar effects like that do not stack. It would be too crazy if they did though. Still, c Kadilen is a very highly regarded hero and Hanitra has some clear advantages over her. Very cool!
I think Hanitra will be great but solely as an offensive hero. If you're lucky enough to have the yellow gargoyle, the two of them together will be a great force to combat Alfrike+Xmas teams in rush battles. I have both but currently only six darts. Not sure which, but I will probably max one out soon. I don't think Hanitra would be nerfed as she's not OP; mainly she's lacking an attack in her special. She does what is sufficient, and there is still a lot of luck involved.
Does her passive block all stops of special skills? Hel nor proteus stop you from using a special skill but rather stop mana generation. And does this work against mindless attack (Merlin/alfrike) as the special skill still goes off but it’s an ally attack. I thought this was specifically to avoid silencing of her?
The thing about defense is that a lot of people use def down heros there like Frigg and Morel so having there KadiC who can benefit from these def downs with her dmg is clutch. I believe that is the reason there wont be so many Hanitras in def teams, because KadiC suits there better

I wanted to get your opinion on a team set up from left to right in the reverse formation. C.Magni, Hanitra, Alfrike, Myca, Quenell. That’s how I’m considering using Hanitra on defense. but I’m not sure if it’s as good as current defense. C.Magni, Xnolphod, Gravemaker, Alfrike, Quenell. Would love to get some thoughts. Hanitra is a neat hero, my only dodge hero, and aside from the golden pig, my only health stack hero.
Thank you! I think your current defense is better, and I wouldn’t encourage worrying about defense too much. Better to spend your time devising excellent offensive teams, which is where Hanitra really shines 👌🏻

I think Hanitra is great for a hotm. Also, I agree I'd love to see her against Alfrike, however as to your concern about her being nerfed, I'm not sure they will since there are already heroes out there who specifically target "Over heal".
It’s only the 5% mana per buff passive I’m worried about. I could see it being reduced because in the right synergy she’s very fast speed always, which is amazing
How do you compare her to Inari with her new buff. She has a 56% to dodge, each dodge produces a minion, and she does damage! Just curious on your opinion.
My biggest issue with Inari is her subpar defense stat. However, Inari has better dodge chance and her minions are cool if you can keep them alive. Hanitra in the right synergy can be very fast speed for the entire match though which is extremely good. Unfortunately there’s no right answer
I don't have Inari but I think she is a great hero. She is pretty squishy for a support hero so she is not the best dodge hero, but she has some great things about her. Good in a minion team where you can protect her minions and therefore gain mana every turn for as long as possible.
How would Hanitra compare with the recently buffed Inari? I got Inari from a retrain a couple days ago. As a rogue, Inari gets two chances to dodge / evade.
I’m biased towards Hanitra because of those incredible passives. Inari is very cool but is incredibly squishy, which is not a great quality in a support hero
After some testing pairing hanitra with some buff giving heros, I’m sold on her being better then inari even without the damage. Stats are a big part of it as inari is really dated. And as Spock said paired with the right heros hanitra can be vfast.
Still uncertain how I feel about her but happy as hell as a F2P to pull her. She's almost done but I was wondering if you think she is a better tank or flank? I have a feeling I'm gonna struggle to decide on limit breaking her or Prof
@@MrSpock Well first is whether she is a tank or flank... I am uncertain about her because it almost seems like she would have to be with a healer. I don't feel like her healing is enough on a defense alone.
so the thing I'm worrying about her on defence is that, because she does no damage or apply any defence/attack buff, there is no incentive for the attacker to cast special skill at all. They can just pour tile on her and there is no consequence.. All the attacker need to do is to get the skills ready and wait for one round or two before casting them. So my opinion is she's just an Inari before buff on defence. She's definitely fantastic on offense but which fast dodge hero isn't?
The only thing I’ll add is that with her buffs and buffs from other heroes giving her mana she fires very often. So if you hit her with too many tiles dodge will be up constantly and the other heroes will kill you while you wait for dodge to go away. She is better for offense overall but how fast she charges can make her an issue on defense too
i got c kad maxed, and i pulled zekena and hanitra in 1 pull... i also got bai yeong and joon maxed so im not sure who to max, hanitra or zekena... zekena is a WEAPON!! im probably gonna go with zekena but am i making a mistake?
From what I can see, I don’t like Zekeena. I don’t like heroes where you don’t know what they’re going to do. Plenty on the leaderboard have maxed him so maybe I’m missing something
There are few heroes that are better than Wolfgang! Also Hanitra is a HoTM and Wolfgang a Knight, so definetly better. If you have Wolfgang level him as soon as possible up, you won't be dissapointed! He's just amazing!
I wouldn’t worry about defense as much. Wolfgang is pretty decent but quite vulnerable to a simple dispel. Hanitra can dodge dispels and also boosts health. Not really the same type of hero but both have their merits
All i can think about now is this obscene combo of heroes. God please dont nerf Hanitra cause of this. Hanitra + Russel + JEAN FREAKIN FRANCOIS!. Charge JF, Use JF, Russell is charged, Hanitra gets 10% mana too. Profit. Bonus, Hanitra & Russell are 2021
Yeah I love the synergy potential. I want to max her now but I know if they nerf this passive I’ll regret the ascension. Unfortunately, if she gets nerfed it won’t happen for another 2-6 months 🤦🏻♂️

She does, but she is not as similar as Kadilen and Hanitra are since she only can dodge attacks that deal damage. So Margaret is easily dispelled whereas Hanitra and Kadilen can dodge the attempt to dispel, which is very good.

I just tested her with cKadilen and the dodges override each other so it seems you can only have 1 dodge at any given time

I think Penolite is the right choice first! That hero is insane
I ended up doing Penolite first. I will most likely do the hotm eventually, possibly as my next yellow. I think they will be a great teamup.

I was not entirely correct in my initial video. Hanitra’s passive blocks Alfrike, Hansel, Zocc, and silence but does not block Hel or Proteus 👍🏻

How do you compare her to Inari with her new buff. She has a 56% to dodge, each dodge produces a minion, and she does damage! Just curious on your opinion.
I think Inari is very cool. However, Inari is squishy and her minions are weak. They each have their perks and are both good 👍🏻

I loved the comparison to costume Kad, but how does she stack up to Inari? I have Inari at 3/70 and wondering your take on who gets the ascension.
My biggest issue with Inari is her subpar defense stat. However, Inari has better dodge chance and her minions are cool if you can keep them alive. Hanitra in the right synergy can be very fast speed for the entire match though which is extremely good. Unfortunately there’s no right answer

I don't have Inari but I think she is a great hero. She is pretty squishy for a support hero so she is not the best dodge hero, but she has some great things about her. Good in a minion team where you can protect her minions and therefore gain mana every turn for as long as possible.
How would Hanitra compare with the recently buffed Inari? I got Inari from a retrain a couple days ago. As a rogue, Inari gets two chances to dodge / evade.
Inari is very cool but I strongly dislike how squishy she is. Hanitra has better stats for a support hero and monk class is very strong too

After some testing pairing hanitra with some buff giving heros, I’m sold on her being better then inari even without the damage. Stats are a big part of it as inari is really dated. And as Spock said paired with the right heros hanitra can be vfast.

@@MrSpock Well first is whether she is a tank or flank... I am uncertain about her because it almost seems like she would have to be with a healer. I don't feel like her healing is enough on a defense alone.
so the thing I'm worrying about her on defence is that, because she does no damage or apply any defence/attack buff, there is no incentive for the attacker to cast special skill at all. They can just pour tile on her and there is no consequence.. All the attacker need to do is to get the skills ready and wait for one round or two before casting them. So my opinion is she's just an Inari before buff on defence. She's definitely fantastic on offense but which fast dodge hero isn't?
The only thing I’ll add is that with her buffs and buffs from other heroes giving her mana she fires very often. So if you hit her with too many tiles dodge will be up constantly and the other heroes will kill you while you wait for dodge to go away. She is better for offense overall but how fast she charges can make her an issue on defense too
i got c kad maxed, and i pulled zekena and hanitra in 1 pull... i also got bai yeong and joon maxed so im not sure who to max, hanitra or zekena... zekena is a WEAPON!! im probably gonna go with zekena but am i making a mistake?
From what I can see, I don’t like Zekeena. I don’t like heroes where you don’t know what they’re going to do. Plenty on the leaderboard have maxed him so maybe I’m missing something

There are few heroes that are better than Wolfgang! Also Hanitra is a HoTM and Wolfgang a Knight, so definetly better. If you have Wolfgang level him as soon as possible up, you won't be dissapointed! He's just amazing!
I wouldn’t worry about defense as much. Wolfgang is pretty decent but quite vulnerable to a simple dispel. Hanitra can dodge dispels and also boosts health. Not really the same type of hero but both have their merits
All i can think about now is this obscene combo of heroes. God please dont nerf Hanitra cause of this.

Yeah I love the synergy potential. I want to max her now but I know if they nerf this passive I’ll regret the ascension. Unfortunately, if she gets nerfed it won’t happen for another 2-6 months 🤦🏻♂️
Too bad they removed the temporary health boost. I just got her and tested her with Mica and her Mana speed was insanely fast.
Her card has not been changed at all since release. Successful dodges still boost health by 275 👍🏻
@@MrSpock You're right. I put this to the test. This is actually a translation error. In Dutch the card says the added health can not exceed the maximum health of a hero. Very strange translation error though. 🤔

So why aren't you taking about Margaret too..doesn't she dodge to..
She does, but she is not as similar as Kadilen and Hanitra are since she only can dodge attacks that deal damage. So Margaret is easily dispelled whereas Hanitra and Kadilen can dodge the attempt to dispel, which is very good.
She gains 15% when she fires.
She pairs well with Zircon. He adds 3 Buffs. She pairs great with Sif on a mono team.
