I didn't take it that way. My husband and I go to a lot of live music and are curious about the ways we can support an artist outside of buying merch and CD's. We're also curious about how they keep track of all the different ways they get paid, because it's alot. We have an artist friend who does solo gigs and is a member of 4 other groups. Plus being invited to perform with groups. He also writes for himself and others. It's very interesting.🙂

Girl, just a piece of advice. The amount of tinted ilia spf you are using,it is not enough to get the protection of SPF of 40. Especially for someone who has lupus. You should still wear SPF to protect your skin under this serum. It looks great though 😊 I love your videos btw, and have been for years ❤

So many artists for decades been saying “own your masters” in interviews but the public wouldn’t know what that means! I think prince. So it was more so warning insiders. But I’m glad Taylor brought it up during the age of social media bc now everyone could no longer take a shitty deal! If the general public knows you have a trash deal (look at Megan the Stallion), the stans will eventually turn on the record company for them to get a new deal. Her last few albums haven’t been amazing as her independent stuff but we all know she’s trying to break her contract so we give it a pass. We the consumers also have power!
To the question "what do you do all day" I hope Jordy knows, he doesn't need to be working 40+hrs a week or justify how he's spending his time, as long as he's making money, supporting you and being productive, that's all that matters, success is making the most money while working the least amount of hours
It’s hilarious that some people think that the only people who make money are ones with “traditional” jobs. There are so many ways musicians can make money! Session players, music teachers, professors at music colleges, etc.
I don’t think anyone argues the validity of his job as I am a musician too. But long term as you get older it’s just harder and harder as music fads change. To make it a life time career is super super hard. So people usually need some back up plans.
I liked the insight into Jordy's career. It's always been very fascinating to me. When I was younger, I wanted to work for a record label. I particularly appreciate independent artists nowadays. Even more so considering all the crazy things coming ot of organized entertainment.

It is really interesting how the music industry works. I didn't realize until the whole thing with Taylor Swift having what sounds like some or all of her catalog sold to another person (I may have the words wrong) that she then rerecorded her own songs so that she could have some rights to them. My husband is a performance musician, from a family that has four of them actively doing performance and recording. There is nothing you can do about the girls. The more successful he is, the bigger the mobs, and they are brazen. They figure out how to find his hotel room, they'll wait for hours in the rain just to get a shot at grabbing him by the arm, back stage, etc. Dancing half naked in front of the band... and if there are other single guys in the band they're going to have girls at their after-parties. My advice is just to steel yourself and not have delusional expectations. If you insist he make promises a normal guy can't keep, then it is guaranteed the lying and manipulation will happen, and that is worse than boffing some stray chick. You'll catch him in the lies and it will be an endless source of conflict.
