So, I have the M1 MBP with 16/512. The reviews out there are not quite telling the full story on speed of the M1. For example, opening Chrome cold, meaning that I have not opened before, it will open in 3-4 bounces. iMovie from a cold open, 12-13 bounces. It is only after the application has been opened that you get the blazing speed. The built in apps like Safari, even give a bounce or 2 when opened for the first time. Opening Affinity Photo cold was 25 bounces. Final Cut Pro is in the same boat with a cold boot of 17 bounces and 4 more seconds to timeline. After it has been opened...4 bounces. The boot up to the login screen is around 17-20 seconds. Compared to my Surface Book 2, that is slow. My SB2 boot and login is 10 seconds. The best thing with the M1 is the battery life. I can most times get 2-4 days without plugging in. Yes, that is insane! There are some other issues that I have discovered with the M1 that did not happen with Intel....Crashes. Yes, crashes. When this device goes to sleep for say 30 minutes to a couple of hours, upon wake up and opening Safari, the spinning wheel of death appears. The only option is a hard shutdown. This happens a lot. And before everyone asks about apps installed, booting in safe mode, etc. Yes, the troubleshooting has been done. This seems to be an issue for many per the chatter on the Apple Discussion forums. This is not to say that the M1 is not a good machine or is not fast. It is fast, but there is a lot of exaggerating out there.

(2:24) Doesn't the MacBook Air 2020 (Ver. 2) also have a fan?
No
He should probably change it to:”If I can slam it, you can slam it.”
Great video! Thanks
Do some videos about the ability to use apps on the Mac
Can you compare video editing between iPad Pro vs the new M1 Macbook
How much memory does the OS take up? I was considering the 512gb version
Big Sur just moved onto mine for 12.3gb i think?
"Am I arguing with myself?"😆
Mate, please do a comparison with the air! I wanted to buy the Pro but after watching the air video, I am not too sure !! Please show up the difference in performance. Highly appreciate it. If you do that video, I would subscribe lol
I cancelled my MBP 16 and ordered one of these. 2-3 week wait, and my 2-3 week wait for the MBP 16 was almost over, lol oh wells.. Figured I'd give this one a shot. I got it loaded and still was 1k cheaper than the Intel 16"
I love your videos and this review was great. I got the same spec MBP you reviewed in your video and am loving it. Thank you for your great videos!
Can't wait to see what they gonna do to Macbook Pro 16" 🥳🥳🥳🎉🎉 big fan from Indonesia 🇮🇩. Your videos always informative and entertaining
This guy is a real Apple fanboy
Absolutely and totally entertaining and enjoyable contents keeping viewers captivated! Just bought my 13 MB pro M1 16 gb RAM 1 T thanks to your advice! Keep it up!
I think you need to edit your description because the power of the M1 is more than "decent"
