The engine used in the car shown in the video is an engine with 80° between cylinder banks, and F1 engines currently have engines with 90° between cylinder banks, this is important, as it means that the engines have different firing intervals and this is one of the factors that impact how they sound
Even though I am a fan of the F1 era with naturally aspirated high revving engines, I admit that the 1980s V6 Turbo is great and loud despite the turbocharger. I'd love to hear it in real life.
They wouldn't allow that because guess what? "They wouldn't *sound* eco-friendly..." Sadly, I'm not kidding nor exaggerating... It's all about the image that F1 wants to present these days regardless of the image being fake or not. The marketing around Brazil's "green" GP this year proved this.

@@dominicbritt he said MGU H not the K or kinetic, those are different things and removing the Mgu H will actually improve the sound of the current engines which was initially planned to go with the new aero regulations but later scrapped it
Fantastic power from FW11. Nigel Mansell said IT was most dangerous and scariest car he drove in his career... and Nelson Piquet have one on the wall in his house. It says a lot. Car is simple and maybe primitive for these days but very brutal and resemble can am turbo cars.

This was better than aspirated, because you hear the power, the explosions... and is bloody loud

honestly the modern turbos kind of sound similar to this too. especially off throttle. Its a little bit quieter though
