Per a report from Go Long's Tyler Dunne Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy is getting 'fed up' with Jerry Jones undermining him. That’d be fine if the Cowboys were the standard NFL organizational structure but they aren’t. NO coach will “get it done” in Dallas till the Jones family either sells the team or steps back. The players always k ow that the Cowboys coach, isn’t ever REALLY the head coach with the final say on anything. Players can’t respect a head coach when they know they can backdoor him by running to an overly involved owner/GM who has no fear of being fired. The problem in Dallas starts at the top.

I do believe that Jerry loves the Dallas Cowboys, but that he’s just too stubborn to do what he knows needs to be done to get another Super Bowl. IE: Hire Will McClay as the true GM and hire an elite head coach who he gives full control to. There’s a part of me that honestly believes Stephen will sell the team once his father passes because that guy seems to be only interested in 💰

Yes! Exactly. But these guys don’t want to pay him to coach or play for another team. MM or Dak. It’s a wait and see approach but, they didn’t do anything to help them either which says a lot of what they think of them already. Unless they make it to the Championship game or NFC Championship he’s not getting signed with this team. And by the same token would they really want to return?

The Packers offensive game plan in that playoff game that they opened up a can of whoop butt was a masterclass. That's what the cowboys are missing.

Mike McCarthy is a good coach. Every year he's been here we won at least 12 games except one (covid year). McCarthy has been the best coach since Parcels.

Jerry not only wants the credit for winning, he wants to win his way and he wants to downplay the importance of leadership on an NFL team.
Facts. He wants to win, but in his way. He wants to be validated. If he truly wanted to win at all cost he would get completely out of the way.
Coaches lead football teams.. Not GMs. Jerry's "way" is a confirmed failure after 30 years of no post season success.. and zillions of .500 win seasons. No serious Coaches count Dallas as a landing spot because of Bumpkin Jerry.

Nothing in that article requires an inside source. It’s nothing new. So now we have an anonymous “source” saying that McCarthy has all the same frustrations that the fanbase/media have? I start every opinion I form without firsthand information by reminding myself that I don’t have all the information necessary to eliminate opportunity to change my mind. This article is only being discussed because it’s June & that’s all we’ve got.
McCarthy knows this is his last NFL coaching job and it ends after this season. He’s doing preemptive damage control to see if he can somehow salvage his career.
Well this is his last season in dallas and if this season goes the way I think he may not make the full season
Rob Davis (i bet is the source for this article). He was titled as "Assistant Coach" when he was here in Dallas, but he worked primarily as a "personnel " guy to help build a cohesive locker room. He is back in Green Bay doing a similar capacity ,again, for that team.
Unless the rookie class this year is really, really good, then Jerry & Stephen are going to feel the heat from the media and fans. The Draft is the one good thing that Jerry & Co. are good at. They’re also ridiculously lucky, which is keeping our team contenders. But if THIS year’s Draft class is as bad as last year’s, we’ll be in trouble. That’s not what I expect but there’s always a possibility. Hopefully, the class at stands up and balls out.

The GB offense looked much more innovative and ready for that playoff game. McCarthy was clearly out coached by Mike LaFleur. The crazy thing is I think Mike was un upgrade as playcaller over Kellen Moore.

McCarthy is an OC in an HC position that had many great regular season teams in GB and Dallas but won only one SB. McCarthy teams are soft, and his teams can't win regular season or playoff games against tough teams. McCarthy can't even beat his former Packers team.

I grew up watching greats like Landry, Noll, Parcels, Johnson, and others while you settle for one and done. After 30 years of drought without a SB y' all STILL make excuses that reward failure.
