No Jones hasn’t messed up. It’s the number 1 franchise in sports. Mission accomplished. Dominating the coverage and hasn’t won the Super Bowl since the 90s. If he was serious about that trophy cabinet he would have let Jimmy Johnson carry on until he fell off like Belicheck even if he couldn’t stand him. That team would have won more Aikman said and he was right and I’m not a cowboys fan neither.

But yes, Jones has the most valuable franchise, despite the lack of success recently, now imagine if they actually won. But the main obstacle to winning is Jerry. This guy built a team for the regular season while wanting to have "yes" men under him. When Parcells, who is just like Johnson, they became winners again after 3 years of 5-11. All im saying, Jones is an incredible businessman, but a terrible GM and leader on the field.

But after you fired Jimmy Johnson and was petty enough to keep him out of the ring of honour for over a quarter of a century you’re not winning any Super Bowls while Mr JJ still alive. John Elway was one of the greatest QB's of all time. Period. But for the first decade plus, he had Dan Reeves as his head coach and GM. Dan Marino, never had that supporting cast after the first 2 years of his career. Having 7 or 8 pro bowlers on the team is all well and good, but you need the rest of the supporting cast. Jerry gathers players, Bill B built "Teams" around his QB.

I was born and raised in Dallas and have been a Cowboy fan my whole life so what I say now pains me; it feels like Jerry Jones wants to tank this season to get a high pick so he can start over from scratch and maybe draft Shaduer Sanders to move forward with a new era for the franchise
I don’t think so as Jones can’t presume he’ll still be alive starting from scratch. Jerry Jones is interested in winning the Super Bowl of marketing and money making. So he gets the 🏆 every year. I saw the Cowboys win against the Bills in Pasadena that team could have won more than two super bowls. If that was his priority he would have let Jimmy Johnson carry on.
