Thanx a lot ❤. I use windows at the moment fo 5950x rigs, becaose i have etcmc nodes in them also. I tried to pot it in the config file for mxrig, but did not work for me. But I figured out a way. For windows, it works if you put in comand --threads 30 --cpu-affinity 2147483645.
when i put this command into the cpu config my xmrig dosent work it says document is empty can u pls post your fully cpu config so i can copy paste and make sure that i dosent do typo
Buying 2 5950xs was such a mistake, I overclocked and undervolted them...and they get like 42 MH on verus.... for the price of set up.... I could get like 150-200 MH worth of phones cuz I am Paperclip
Yea I think they're best suited for Randomx or Yespower

Ok - this board sucks though. I swapped mine out for a cheaper b450m pro 4.5 - 14.8K @ 78w

Don't have any, and too low of a tier cpu and it's too old imo to bother sending money on and using

also if i remember i think if you do amd-info in shell.. might show cpu temp.. havnt done it in while i dont remember if its only for gpu or cpu as well
Don't have any 5600x. Just 3900x, 5800x and higher tier cpu

I run mine at base clock with lowest stable voltage, 14.15kh@125w
For me this is best. Stable and 120h/w moves around a little. Getting 15.4-15.6kh at 130w

For RandomX it is excellent 17,8k
I have two 5950X, one on b550m mb, I get around 13,5kh/s, and on the b450 mb I can't get over 12kh/s. I 've tried everything, and I just can get to 15khs
I'm using an MSI B450 and get 15.5 at 131w. Try using the settings in description
cl16 3600mhz needed for better hashrate, if you have deeper pockets cl14 will be ideal
yea that's what i figured. but if im gonna spend bdie money I'll just get AM5
ive got a lot of ryzen rigs, i dont have a 5950x - i think you need much better ddr4 for a 5950x. IMO ddr4 3600 with tight timings. remember the 5950x can easily do an fclck of 1800 - which matches the ddr4 at 3600 . ddr4 3200 suits the ryzen 3600 and 3900 really well.
my ryzen 3950x gets 15,500 on randomx with hardly any tweaking - just run the ddr4 xmp profile
Yea, thanks for all the info! I'm super new to cpu mining so all these settings and ram subtimings I'm not familiar with. I will definitely give these a try eventually

It'll be close, but 5950x should be more efficient

If you really want to get anal about power savings, check your SoC voltage. A lot of boards like to slam 1.1V for 3200mhz when it usually isn't necessary. Will take some testing, but I've had reasonable stability as low as 0.950v, and doing so brings SoC power draw /way/ down.
Awesome! This is good to know. I was kinda disappointed with the efficiency but I don't have too much cpu experience. I will have to mess with that and see if I can drop wattage a bit more.
I can't say anything about AM5 as I don't own anything on that socket, but I suspect it might be similar. Might even be worth dropping the RAM clocks to drop SoC more purely looking at mining and efficiency.
