    No joke, this hit me pretty bad. Mold is often associated with tiles because of bathrooms, but mold growing in wood seeps deeper than the surface and is ridiculous to remove without just trashing the wood. Except I didn't know and slept in a moldy room for years.

    • @username42
      @username42 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      how you have been cured then ? what kinda treatment or how did u fix the house as well ?

    • @benedict6962
      @benedict6962 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@username42 you need to rip out all the moldy wood, fix the source of the moisture, and dry the whole place for days.
      Mold isn't something that's "cured". Antibiotics work on infections, but there's no point if you're constantly receiving new mold. I just have to live with however my body deteriorated from that damage.

    Had exposure to mold for a couple months
    It was under the carpeted floor in my room, though my parents didn't believe me when I said it was there until you could see tons of it on the carpet itself.
    After it had been dealt with, all the issues I had which my parents though were a result of lack of sleep went away. Now I finally have a hardwood floor too, which I've been wanting to have for years.

      Depends on what type of mold and how much is in the house. I had to actually move out of my house due to mold and get rid of belongings because microscopic toxic mold was all over it. It was awful. I had to remove my clothes at a hotel room and have someone go out and buy me something to wear and pretty much lost all of my belongings and suffered health issues for months after moving out

      Do you know of how marijuana affects someone with a mold allergy and it's exposure? I had this SUPER messed up reaction, I've only found 2 people on the entire internet whove discussed on there, their horrid experience with the marijuana. If I had to guess at least from what my doc has told me that there is neuro-inflammation , so inflammation of the neurotransmitters is what that is I think...
      So if that's happening then that could explain why that stuff happened with the weed. I did leave my home for around 6-8 months on vacation and I tried it again with some family (stupid idea since it was so bad) and this time was kinda bad but not NEARLY as bad as before. so perhaps I wasn't exposed as much to those mycotoxins and the inflammation in my brain went down, reducing awful effects from the weed.
      Another thing I've though of is I might just be allergic. Provided the mold has compromised my immune system (even on our great plains test it shows the vitamin c being eating up bad from that fact) that my body thought it was a threat and then made it an allergen.
      Let me know what you're thoughts on this, and thank you for your help with that comment~!

      As long as you keep the room clean via dusting vacuuming and using disinfectant spray, and take otc allergy medicine you should be fine, it went away after about a month with no lasting side effects (and in my case I had allergies anyway so I just took 2 Benadryl at night instead of 1) fyi if you do have other more serious existing conditions such as asthma or if even after a while symptoms seem to worsen, then you should see a doctor. Otherwise you should be okay

    I've always had allergy issues, but a decent immune system (thanks mom who owns a daycare). However, when I moved into my college apartment, my allergies worsened and I was sick all the time. I thought my immune system went down, I caught everything that went around and one year I had 4 sinus infections. After moving home I slowly noticed I wasn't having half the trouble I did. Two years after moving a girl who lived at the same complex noticed mold and that the complex only painted over it. There was a whole ordeal, it was ugly, there was a lawsuit. That's when I realized mold had been causing my problems.

    #DEARBLOCKO, My mother often keeps food well past its expiration date.
    Yesterday I poured moldy bread into the green box for collection. I didn't realize how dry it was. The fact that it looked like it came out of a Pharaoh's tomb probably should have clued me in.
    I inhaled a large amount mold which had became airborne when the bread exited the bag.
    Am I going to die?
    I think we need to know more about food contaminants. I heard that you can cut mold off cheese because the mold (that's not introduced on purpose) doesn't penetrate the cheese. Is this true? Can the cheese be salvaged or should it be thrown out?

    Before I moved house, we used to love in a reallllyyy old house in a village. The mould was horrendous, stuff like whole walls were coated in it, and the only thing we could do was temporarily get rid of it with bleach. We couldn’t hang up paintings or put furniture against the wall since mould was just grow on it aswell, unfortunately the landlord didn’t do anything about it and we had to move out of the house we had grown up in... just for better health benefits. I never knew living in a mouldy house could have severe effects though. Wowzaaaz

      Wash your hair daily with shampoo. There's shampoo made specifically for destroying dandruff. Dandruff is these white spots in your hair, if you don't get rid of them, they can turn into fungus, that takes 8+ years to remove.
