Hi Gemma, your final look is lovely, and you salvaged it quite well. It’s interesting to note you did have some red flags about the NYX blush. We so appreciate you trying things out fr us! Speaking for myself, think it is beneficial to have a lesson on how to correct a botched product application without washing off the whole face and starting over. 😘
I like the NYX blushes, but there was definitely a learning curve to get them to work on my fair skin! I use a stipple brush, dip it very lightly, then sort of distribute the product through the bristles by swirling it inside the lid. I also appreciate that some of the colors they offer (like the purple and the watermelon) are difficult to find at a drugstore price point.
I bought 3 of the NYX blushes. I really like them, I don't usually use blush, however the older I get, the more I think I need color on my face. I have very pale skin with a cool olive undertone and gray hair that looks more silver. I powder my foundation then apply bronzer. I take a little bit of blush on my brush then tap on the back of my hand before applying to my cheeks. It lasts for all day and I've gotten some complements on my makeup! Many blessings to all💖💖💖
I love all the colors of the NYX blush but I use a very light hand** over set base and apply a little at a time. If I do that, I have no issues with patchiness or too much color. **A little goes a loooong way and they are buildable.
I tried the Nyx Butter Bronzer….,,had a similar reaction with the blending. Plus what looked so cool toned, ended up with a warm finish odd….but yes, I find as well the Givenchy lipstick formula lively. Deep bold colours seen to be their thing. I have to dig to find the light everyday shades.
Thank you Gemma, because these videos are very informative, I wanted to know why you liked the Benefit powder, do you think it is appropriate for mature and dry skin? 🥰
Enjoying your videos. As a fellow fair blonde with cool to neutral undertones it can be challenging to look vibrant. Even finding a red lip can be impossible. Glad to have your opinion along the way. it helps a lot. ❤
I got the nyx blush and bronzer the colours were totally different online the bronzer is far too dark for me and they both go on patchy. Have you tried the Corxs eye patches. There amazing and so affordable 😊
I’m with you on having more fair shades. And the mattes! I was thinking I would love the fair shades from the golden and I need a warm palettes in one Fair Palette. I found a cute Caliray eyeshadow/blush palette for fair tones, and I was shocked that it was all so light! That just does not happen anymore. I’m lucky if I can use 1/3 of the shades in an eyeshadow palette.
I absolutely agree with you about the eyeshadows. A fully matt palette is what I would go for too. Just in my case I would prefer a cool neutral palette. Why aren’t there many of those? Looking forward to a video on foundations. I’m currently using the Erborian cc crème but it’s pricey and seeing how there are so many new much cheaper foundations around nowadays, I will be looking for a replacement. Any recommendations?😘❤️
Just got the newer CT mascara. Haven’t tried it yet but it looks lovely. I need a mascara that does not smudge because my lashes are too long. I frankly don’t want huge lashes. I don’t like the fake look. Enjoying your videos. As a fair blonde it can be challenging to look vibrant. My skin is like yours. Glad to have your opinion it helps a lot. I agree with you about Givenchy. It’s a hard brand for me to use
Hi Gemma, I agree that pep is patchy. Twice I tried it and twice I found the same thing! I was wondering if it was my eyelid primer (but never had any trouble with Danessa Myrick’s primer before) but now I feel that it’s pep. Thanks for confirming that.
Hey Gemma just jumped on again was wondering if you’re tried the new huda blur foundation I picked it up & it’s absolutely beautiful I think you & your Mum may love it ❤❤
I am trying so hard to resist that Natasha Denona palette as with a combination of shades from other palettes I already have, I am sure I could create a look very similar to what I would do with it, but it is SO tempting, it looks gorgeous in every review I have seen. I do own and love INAN, but for summer / autumn, I think INAW would be better for me - not as dramatic as bronze is on my fair skin, but a bit warmer. Will have to do my best to wait for a good special offer / GWP if I can't resist...
I find that nowadays, rather than go directly onto a powder blush or loose powder in the pan, I take the product from the lid where there is a dusting of the product. Seems to work for me! Also, anyone from the UK on a budget. I bought a lipstick from Poundland as I fell in love with the colour. It is a gorgeous natural lip colour. Enhances the natural lip really well. The colour is "Daring" no.10. Only £2!x
I've been wanting to try the butter blushes for so long, and from the comments and the video, I'm thinking I will need to use the same approach I use with me butter bronzer -- very light hand, lots of blending, and a little goes a long way. I have very fair skin, with cool pink undertone, so I use their lightest shade, and will potentially need to stock up as it's my new favorite. Also, look at the blushes in a store and swatch them, since Online pictures clearly are not reliable. Thank you for that one, Gemma!

Gemma...I have not been able to get the NYX buttermelt bronzer or blush to work. I just tried the bronzer again after watching another influencer. Its not you! I literally barely touched the bronzer once and it was overkill and patchy and didnt blend out well. Im thinking of throwing mine away.
What foundation shade would you use in this foundation Gemma as your winter shade? I’m a definite neutral and can’t seem to see which shade to try in this one, I have maybelline dream liquid in ivory which is a really good shade match and have been very impressed with maybelline foundations lately.
Oh Gemma, you’re too cute getting Squamish with the NYX Blusher. lol. I am fair complected like you, and I really want the I Need a Nude Palette, but I’m just not paying $69.00 for a palette as I just don’t wear eyeshadows much anymore as my eyes are so so sensitive as I age, my eyes immediately start tearing up and running when applying eyeshadows. 😢. Really enjoy these style of Videos your doing. Thank you bunches.

@@mariamartides2580 girl, it seems like you’re always commenting something like this. She does a mix of affordable and more mid to high end range. If you don’t like watching videos with more expensive items, watch her videos showing more affordable products. There’s plenty of them! Most creators do a mix of affordable and mid to high end products. There are some that focus only on high end just like there’s some that budget/affordable beauty, perhaps check them out. Most people like seeing a mix of products and creators are going to do content they enjoy doing (so testing products they’re interested in themselves) and what gets views (so products that are being talked about/hyped up, and that’s not always the most affordable products).
Girl, you seem to keep saying this same thing. She does a lot of videos using affordable products. If you are only interested in seeing videos using affordable products, watch those ones. Most people like seeing a variety of products. And doing a video of hot new makeup is going to include everything from affordable to mid to high range. She just recently did a video on a drugstore starter kit, so that’s full of all affordable products. Gemma has also done a variety of products from affordable to mid to high end range. Creators are going to make videos that interest them (so are products they want to try) and ones that will get them views (so ones that usually do well for them, which is usually trying the newest products - from affordable to high end). But Gemma usually includes affordable products as well, and does full videos on all affordable products. There’s creators who focus on just affordable/budget beauty, so you might try checking them out if all you’re interested in is affordable products. But, Gemma makes great content with a lot of affordable products in them (just not every video)!

I think that blush was beautiful on you.. just the way you applied it was your issue.. (that’s just my opinion) I think in my opinion it would look beautiful on you with the right tool and base
Ok, we're shade twins AND you're sensitive to caffeine!? Are you sure we're not related? 😂
Haha! Maybe we are xxx
Gemma great video you look beautiful but I feel everything was a expensive for us people can't afford such things 🎉❤xxxxx
My audience is very varied Maria. There were 2 products in this video that were very affordable. x
