    Can the EcuTek Connect (Bluetooth app paired with a phone) be run without the ProEcu Programming Kit? Im confused... would I need to buy both or can the EcuTek Connect be sufficient and my local tuner can use that by itself???

    • @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd
      @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are a number of different things here. An EcuTek tuner creates a tune file for you using our Trade software. He generally programs this tune in at the time of creating it. If however you are e-tuned, and the tuner e-mails you the tune file and you program it in, then a wired programming kit or Bluetooth kit with a dongle is required.
      The Bluetooth kit is generally used when you already have an EcuTek tune in your car and set up by the tuner to work with ECU Connect App and bluetooth module. You can then interact with this tune using the app and phone.
      However if you buy a dongle with your Bluetooth module, then you can use the bluetooth module and dongle to programme in a tune. It is not wireless yet, so you need to use the mini USB to USB wire to connect the bluetooth module to your laptop and have the dongle plugged into the laptop at the same time. Then it operates just like the wired kit and you can program in a tune.

    Hey guys, how do activate this Bluetooth interface on our ECUTEK tuned cars? Or is this plug and play?

    • @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd
      @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      For the standard features, purchase the interface, download the app. Then plug in the interface to your OBD port, pair your phone with the interface via bluetooth and then follow the set up on screen. If you want the custom features, you need to set those up in the tune. Refer to our Custom Maps manual found in the help section of the ProECU software.

    I'm with Cobb currently, what do i need to buy to move to EcuTek? Shall i buy the cable and go thro all the proEcu hassle or whatever that is.. Or is it just done 100% wireless-ly now?

    • @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd
      @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You need to go to one of our Master Tuners who can supply the Bluetooth interface and a tune. You still need a cable and a laptop to flash the first tune file in, but after that it's all wireless on bluetooth. Find our Master Tuners at this link and make sure you check master tuners only www.ecutek.com/dealers

    I have a Stage 2+ Cobb setup with both hardware and the Cobb Accessport. Can I uninstall the Cobb Accessport and install the Ecutek system but still keep all the Cobb hardware in the engine or do I have to remove ALL Cobb hardware? Thanks!

    • @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd
      @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Michael, you can keep all the hardware, however the ECU Connect Interface does not come with an OTS map so you would need to go to one of our ProTuners to get tuned and have the app set up with the tune. Go to www.ecutek.com/dealers to find your nearest. Plus check here for the features you can get with your car: www.ecutek.com/Products/Retail/ECU-Connect/Features-by-vehicle/Feature-compatibility and download the fact sheet here: www.ecutek.com/downloads/marketing/factsheets/EcuTek%20Fact%20Sheet%20-%20ECU%20Connect.pdf

    If you send logs to your dealer and something needs adaptation in the map... is it possible that the dealer send the updated map via email and then you re-flash or upload the new parameters to your tune via the Bluetooth interface?

    • @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd
      @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not yet BavariaR, but we are working on delivering that. At the moment you will still need to buy a Retail Programming kit from one of our Master Tuners if you have not got one already

    Work on Q50s ? Do they have pre loaded maps or do I need pro tune and license ?

    • @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd
      @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. No pre-loaded maps. You'll need to get a pro tune and then have the tuner set up the custom inputs so as you can interact with your tune on your phone.

    How do you update the ECU connect module?
    Connect to the computer and go to a specific website?

    • @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd
      @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The app will update itself via the app store or google play. For firmware updates for the interface, you can check you have the latest by going to settings (green cog wheel bottom right in the app)/vehicle interface/check for firmware updates Ultimately the interface will force an update if it feels you need it

    Does this ecutek add HP?

    • @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd
      @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      This item featured in the video allows you to control your EcuTek tune already in the vehicle. So first you need one of our dealers to give you a tune (find your nearest here: www.ecutek.com/dealers) and then with the bluetooth module and Ecu Connect App you can make adjustments to the tune from your phone that will give you more HP.

  • @SteveReed33
    @SteveReed33 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Does the tuner need to enable features just to read DTC and Datalog? I got mine yesterday and the app identifies the car correctly (Mazda DISI) but then can't do any DTC reading or datalogging, it just gives a on OBD error: Timeout message as soon as I try to do anything.....

    • @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd
      @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Steve, it should be able to datalog and clear DTCs. Can you mail into support@ecutek.com with a screen shot of the error plus the car and the Model year details and any mods you have. Thanks

      Cheers mate, already done so and have been chatting with the guys already. My car is tuned with ECUTEK software already so hopefully we can get to the bottom of it. Might be some odd Australian MPS model issue.

    can i use the app to monitor oil temp and pressure? I have a BRZ.

    • @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd
      @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Andy,
      You can monitor Oil Temp from within the app, but would need your tuner to set up the monitoring of Oil pressure so as that could be viewed from the app.

    • @y0ungj0m
      @y0ungj0m 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      EcuTek Technologies Ltd awesome thanks for the reply. What I want to do is use phone mirroring to have vital info displayed on my head unit (using your app) and use it with AiM solo so I have lap times, data logging, and vitals (oil temp and pressure being the most important on the BRZ) all at the same time.

    • @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd

    • @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd
      @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@devilg37 yes, but speak to your tuner as some of the earlier g37s have very little room in the ECU memory so it restricts the amount of RaceROM features you can have.

    • @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd
      @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@devilg37 with the standard features yes. If you want the custom features then it depends which your ROM is. If it's the smaller ROMs there isn't enough space to run RaceROM to get the custom features. Best speak with one of our tuners

      EcuTek Technologies Ltd is this the same tune with ecutek thru cable and laptop??

    • @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd
      @EcuTekTechnologiesLtd  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The ECU Connect app works in conjunction with our Bluetooth Interface to communicate with your EcuTek tune in the car. The Bluetooth interface can be used like the cable (Our Retail Programming Kit) using the mini USB to USB cable and dongle that can be supplied with the kit. Programming the ECU over bluetooth is being developed but is not available yet.
