Lovely video of Rutland. I lived in Rushden, Northamptonshire till age 44 and agree, so many small villages in England to explore, nearly all with a lovely pub to enjoy a pint of ale. My mother had her wedding reception at the Kings Head in Wadenoe, it was beautiful with just around 30 family members present. Moved to southern Ireland in 2001, which unfortunately doesn't have such charming villages.
Thank you 🥰 Northamptonshire has a lot of gorgeous villages! Without the tourism ☺️ what a lovely place to have lived. I haven’t explored Southern Ireland but my mums family are from Northern Ireland and there are some stunning places up there.. if you can get to see them without the rain 😂
Ok, I'm moving there! Wonderful, beautiful! These videos are so relaxing. I am bringing my Norton Anthology of English literature and spend the rest of my retirement in this amazing place called England!
Exceptional, exceptional beauty! There are SO many gorgeous villages and market towns in Rutland and Northamptonshire (not to mention the huge wealth of aristocratic country estates). I’ve always called that area the “second Cotswolds” for its strong architectural similarities to the region. Yet of course the villages of Rutland and Northamptonshire have their own beautiful and unique character too; for example with their local materials such as the stone (ranging from pale pink to burnt orange), and roofing (warm Collyweston stone slate to of course thatch).
Nie widziałam w życiu piękniejszego filmu o angielskich posiadłościach wiejskich, dziękuję Pani za ten odcinek.Jak będzie mi smutno obejrzę go i piękno poprawi mi nastrój.
Such a beautiful spot and so many gorgeous views, seems everywhere you point the camera is exquisite, can imagine so many interesting lives have been led in such places, a must visit for sure! Thank you for sharing this gem with us.
We just spent a couple months exploring Great Britain, and totally missed Rutland. Just one more reason to return! Love your vlog style and the clip with the koi swimming through the reflection of the windows and sky was brilliant!
09:01 Imagine ladies, having to clean a room like this! Everything has to be dusted, washed or professionally cleaned. Thank you for the tour of this amazing palace!
I came across your channel a couple of weeks ago while journaling and just clicked random TH-cam videos. I’ve searched for days to find your channel. I’ve even looked through my watched videos and couldn’t seem to find it. FINALLY found it! Immediately subscribed! Love your videos!♥️
I loved this video! Burleigh House was nice but I liked seeing the thatched roof cottages more - so beautiful and we don’t have little villages like this in US. They all have a pub and church - just so quaint. One day I will get there! In the meantime I have YT. Lol.
Hi Stacy, Yet another lovely vlog, thank you for sharing. Rutland looks a very picturesque county with a lot of interesting history and architecture. I would love to visit at some point. Looking forward to your next journey.
What a beautiful tour. Thank you so much for taking your time to share it with us. I have been to Burghley house the other week, for the twilight tour- highly recommend. I will definitly have to see the surrounding area, even Stamford itself is a featurestic town almost taking you back in time to medival England. Really admire your great knowledge. Thank you again xxx Castle Ashby....orangery- Stunning....
Pleased you enjoyed it! 🥰🙏 So glad to hear you’ve experience Burghley for yourself, it’s breathtakingly beautiful in all its ornate detailing and the ceilings are just sublime in every single room! I’ll have to look into the twilight tour 😍 thanks for the suggestion. Stamford is a lovely place, I was hoping to stop by and share it in this video but ran out of time on this occasion. Something for next time ☺️ Happy Sunday! X
My gosh what a gorgeous little place! Especially this time of year with the autumn mood settling in ❤Love the manor house too, you can't go too far wrong with Tudor/Elizabethan for me so it's definitely one for the list!
Oh wonderful ❤also watching each older episode. Can you plan to return to Cornwall for the interior tour and conclusion as mentioned some time soon? Thanks 🙏
Glad you’ve been enjoying 🥰🙏 I’d definitely love to get back to Cornwall again although not sure when exactly that will be.. currently en route to Northumberland and Scotland for some autumn colour 😍 Can you please jog my memory of which interior tour it was you wanted to see in Cornwall? Have a lovely end to the weekend ☺️
