The issue is that all the air is leaking out through the gap in the ring. To fix this put the other ring on and turn it 180 so the gaps are opposite of each other. If you want a more round piston spin it on your drill and use sand paper. “Lathe”
I subbed when i saw that you actually rip pretty hard on the kdx, but woah this was dope. Respect, and dont give up, throw another ring on that sucker and make an update post!
I thought for sure it would run. You did a pretty damn good job carving that piston. but yeah, you need a lathe. You anywhere near Kingman Az? I got a wood lathe you can have if you have a way to come get it. For real! I never use it.
@logantomlinsonwiebe3619 didn't knew that generator came in 2 stroke , by any change you remember what watts rating it was so i keep an eye on those generators

apart from one problem... alll rings rotate in the bore hence no wear groove from the ends of the rings

Australian red gum or red iron bark they have used for steam engine pistons but not sure for lawnmower

Try it again! Make thinner walls, maybe go to a public workshop for a laythe and possible treat it so it dont take the fuel and light on fire
Treating it is something that I should do and I don’t think there any public shops but I could sneak down to the wood shop at school😂
@@logantomlinsonwiebe well, if you try again, i would be interested in watching. Good effort
I've heard of tribes using old food cans for pistons down in the jungle and they work
Wow that might be the best TH-cam comment ever had that’s so sweet thank you!!
He really went about this in the most primal manner too lmao
Love the vids!
You need a metal heat shield on the crown, birch and lignum have been used in the past.
can't wait for part II where you try to add the 2nd ring, or make it work how it is somehow. :)
Yes I will definitely try something
🤣 amazing . Yea I reckon you can get it to go .
Well I think I might try again
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Were that engine came from?
Just an old generator engine that’s been sitting around
