Truth be told, Bambi, Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Sleeping Beauty, Mad Hatter and Snow White are in the same universe as Winnie the Pooh, much like the original Disney classics roster. The Mean One is just an unauthorized spoof of the Grinch and Mouse Trap is just a dollar discount store Scream. As for Popeye, the idea “could” work, if it were done in the right hands.
It has always been. Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, and now Popeye, all they do is turn them into slasher villians. They have 0 creativity, absolute ass.
Basically the grinch isn’t public domain this is a knockoff horror movie where they can not have the same stuff from the original(yet why is the grinch still green)however this and the Mickey Mouse and Popeye slasher films coming up are not connected to the Winnie the Pooh bag of money universe
and honestly I get the sense of whomever makes these films hates the IP thus why these arent the same characters personality wise and want to make them into killers. Im expecting at some point we will get killer films of:barney, looney tunes, felix the cat, betty boop, casper, i can just see it so be prepared for that reveal to drop.
i hate to admit it but what i would love to see, if anyone is familiar with the Beatles song from “Abbey Road” called “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer”, i wouldn’t mind seeing a horror/ slasher film based on that song.. just for a gag😂
I hate these movies because Indie horror is where creativity should flourish unlike all the big studio remakes and sequels. All these filmmakers are doing is lazily stealing someone else's character for their generic slasher movies. Stop doing this. It is creative when you're the first one to do it, but not when everyone is doing it. Stop turning characters that someone else made to be loved by children and turning them into something else. Make your own slasher villains. We don't have enough of those. The only iconic ones in recent memory were Art the Clown (and i dont like Terrifier) and the Grabber from The Black Phone (which shouldn't be a franchise but theyre making a sequel with Ethan Hawke)
I have never watched any of these films that involve childhood characters becoming evil and it is head scratching as to why they are made. All I can say is I am sorry, Matt.
You know they're remaking Return of the Living Dead right? One of the greatest zombie movies ever made is getting a fucking remake. I'm tired of it, why can't they remake a horrible movie like Rave To The Grave? Why does it have to be movies that we love? WTF
😖😖😖🤮 but you know what I didn't know that until a couple months ago they need to stop making movies I think everybody should watch independent movies or go back to watching old ones that are made because Hollywood has no more ideas anymore oh let's just make everything even if it was low budget or schlocker if it was good anyway let's make another piece of crap and expect people to pay money for nope
I know every film can't be an academy award winner, but this bullsh*t i getting ridicuous. remake after remake, reboot after reboot taking great classic films and ruining them. the flood gates are open for sh*t like this and so we're going to be spoon fed this for years to come.
I feel these p*ss poor attempts at taking these beloved cartoon characters from childhood that are in "The Public Domain" turning them into slasher villains are becoming very cheesey with all of the bad acting and writing and horrible budget that shows god forbid if they at the very least if they put some effort into it with a better writing and actors who are trying there best not just (texting it in) then maybe just maybe? This corny crazy idea could work but nah as you said at the start of this review "It's all an easy crash grab period". Another well done job as always bro👍👍
I'm glad I avoided this one because I've heard nothing but awful things about it. I like the Terrifier movies and I do think David Howard Thornton is very talented at least as Art the Clown but he's been in some really bad stuff too like Stream which also just came out this year.
I'd recommend Christmas Bloody Christmas. Just because that movie and The Mean One released around the same time. But there is more positive to say about Christmas Bloody Christmas. It's pretty much The Terminator but with a evil robot Santa. I liked the main female character (but a lot of people are split on her, so it's possible to not like her). Also, I like how they used Christmas lights for the lighting throughout the movie. Plus anyone into gore could have some fun with it.
Oh great, another slasher spoof of a children's book. They need to stop with this garbage. They have gone too far. I used to read the original Dr. Seuss book years ago and now this? This is pathetic. Wait, did you say there making a slasher spoof of Popeye the Sailor? DAMN IT!
Yeah it's a good thing I never watched this. Same thing with the whole version of Winnie the pooh and those other horror Crap fest Version of our beloved childhood icons.
I've been watching all these horror movies on a "free" streaming site. So they aren't getting anything out of me either. Only thing though is that I think someone is keeping a record of stuff and they can still trend on "other" places. So even watching them through "other" ways is still making them successful They may not be getting money of any kind, but they are still getting views and that tells the makers "people are still watching this in some way/capacity." I didn't care for this movie either. So far I'd say that probably Winnie The Pooh 2 has been the best, but that one still has tons and tons of issues/stuff wrong with it. So I'm not praising Winnie The Pooh 2 too much. Also, The Mean One released around the same time as Christmas Bloody Christmas. Christmas Bloody Christmas was a much better movie. I think the font and color of The Mean One on the poster is similar to what was used for the font color and style for Christmas Bloody Christmas. In a way, it felt like The Mean One stole from Christmas Bloody Christmas when it comes to poster.
before winnie the pooh blood and honey came out I was actually looking forward to that movie but I had a 2nd thought before it and Im like yeah its not for me(although I will admit the effects are pretty good same for the other films) and I read the plot summary and there is no reason it had to be that cast of characters and same for these other films not to mention it was generic as hell, I dont like the idea of taking these great animated characters and turning them into monsters that are a complete reversal of their personalities and that due to the plot will have to be hunted down and killed to stop their reign of terror. They could easily have been written as semi copycats of those IPs but I guess the writers figure they wont get as much attention from the audience. And no this dont ruin my childhood which is a dumb overused phrase but yeah its pretty sickening its there for shock value sake.
Original 1980 Robin Williams Popeye with stupid I remember watching it when I was a little bit kid later when I was a little bit older it was dumb then just leave this the cartoon be enough with all those live-action stuff
Thank god none of us will be alive by the time Spongebob and Pokemon enters the public domain...
Truth be told, Bambi, Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Sleeping Beauty, Mad Hatter and Snow White are in the same universe as Winnie the Pooh, much like the original Disney classics roster.

😅😅 Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey look dumb anyway things can be made into a w**** franchise but not this stupid franchise
This attempt at taking a childhood favorite and turning them into a horror villain just to be "eDgY" or "bAlLsY" is getting too desperate and stupid.
Seen Pinocchio’s revenge and rumplestiltskin?
@Johnlindsey289 Don't care.
It has always been. Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, and now Popeye, all they do is turn them into slasher villians. They have 0 creativity, absolute ass.
Agreed
Pinocchio’s revenge was before your time
I agree,Matt!I'm tired of Hollywood making these type of movies and stupid remakes of beloved classics and ruining my childhood!
Can’t we have original slasher movies like thanksgiving and Terrifier than this crap
Basically the grinch isn’t public domain this is a knockoff horror movie where they can not have the same stuff from the original(yet why is the grinch still green)however this and the Mickey Mouse and Popeye slasher films coming up are not connected to the Winnie the Pooh bag of money universe
I feel you exact pain on this whole public domain Crap.
"Grinch Night" is a horror story itself.
I like to think Dr. Zeus is Eukariah from "Grinch Night".
and honestly I get the sense of whomever makes these films hates the IP thus why these arent the same characters personality wise and want to make them into killers. Im expecting at some point we will get killer films of:barney, looney tunes, felix the cat, betty boop, casper, i can just see it so be prepared for that reveal to drop.
I don’t know why Disney didn’t took them to court 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Well public domain fairy tales like Oz, Pinocchio, Snow White etc have been made into horror movies before
The only good adult Bambi movie is the SNL Sketch
i hate to admit it but what i would love to see, if anyone is familiar with the Beatles song from “Abbey Road” called “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer”, i wouldn’t mind seeing a horror/ slasher film based on that song.. just for a gag😂
RAGE Mode at 11:09
I wonder if we will get the reverse the Michael Myers who stole the Christmas might as well swap them lol
Probably be glad to know popeye the slayerman is in development from what I understand. 😂
Craccoon 🍑 🪨 🚬

What about John carver from thanksgiving?
What do you think of Terrifier 2 and 3? Better then the first
You forgot to mention The Little Mermaid 😂!
Matt, why did you remove the word 'Rant' from your video titles?
Who cares..it's the Same Exact Video, lol.
@@ramboraph4life I just wanted to know why. Like was there a specific reason?
I just wanna know who made this fucking trend of movies 💀🤣
They should do a Popeye action movie in the style of road house
I have never watched any of these films that involve childhood characters becoming evil and it is head scratching as to why they are made. All I can say is I am sorry, Matt.
Seen Pinocchio’s revenge and Snow White tale of terror or return to oz?
Alice In Terrorland
Never watched them.
No I did not.
It is not quality it quantity. Everything that comes out is that way. I just cant enjoy them like the Classic Horror Movies done with Heart
You know they're remaking Return of the Living Dead right? One of the greatest zombie movies ever made is getting a fucking remake. I'm tired of it, why can't they remake a horrible movie like Rave To The Grave? Why does it have to be movies that we love? WTF

Did remaking a 50’s b movie like The Fly and The Blob in the eighties made sense because technology improved?
Just leave the classics alone only shit films made better should be remade not classics
Did remaking The Fly in the eighties made sense because technology?

Did remaking a 50’s b movie like The Blob in the eighties made sense because practical effects technology improved since 1958?
@Johnlindsey289 that was a welldone remake.
At least Terrifier and Thanksgiving are original horror franchises and slashers

Winnie the Pooh was a book before Disney
@@Johnlindsey289 yep im aware of that.
So you loved it, right?
Or have Popeye become a space explorer to fight evil aliens.
