Home Alone never gets old, ever. It has a certain charm about it that #2 lacks. 2 is funny but 1 is special. I can re-watch it anytime and it's great. It's similar to back to the future in that vain.
I think one of the things that elevates both movies is the score! The music to these movies is INCREDIBLE. I have the soundtrack to the first one in vinyl.😊
Home Alone 1 is and will alway's be my Favorite but 2 I laugh harder honestly because of Tim Curry and Rob Schneider's Excellant Performences and have great laughing memories watching both of them on Chrismas eve night's at family's houses thru out the year's in the 90's but I first saw Home Alone 1 at a friend's house down the Street on a sleep over back in 1992 and later after saw part 2 in the video store rented both of them and loved them both and bought both of them asoon as I could find them on Vhs tape sense I liked both of them so much. That is such a good point. How he ordered his Little Neiros Cheese Pizza if the phone lines were down unless he did it at the church are the store which would make a good question for Macaulay Culkin. Two classic's Excellant actor's-Cast with great music song's and a solid Story done very well with alittle of everything. Home Alone 1 and 2 is the only two movies that I consider Home Alone in my book and never cared to watch the others even tho I should one day. Awesome Review Matt⭐⭐⭐⭐
They're both good films but I'm going with Home Alone 2 because I found it more funnier, there's more traps and Tim Curry was in it, I do prefer the old man from the first film over the pigeon lady, she wasn't a bad character or anything the old man was just done better, yeah there's stuff that don't make any sense in 2 but I don't really take it seriously.
I think I like Home Alone 2 more. Maybe because Kevin is in a massive city instead of just a house (even though I'm well aware it's called HOME Alone). But I think there is some wow factor of having a massive city to run around in. But for some reason, I always seem to want to watch Home Alone 2 more every Christmas season. I don't really watch the first one. It's always 2 I reach for. Or I'll watch 2 and then a few days later watch 1 and 2 back-to-back/in order. Another reason I might like 2 more is that I got to see it in a movie theater. I was too young when 1 released in theaters. I might've been 1 and a half or 2 years old when 1 released. But I should've been 4 when 2 released. So I was old enough to start seeing movies in theaters (first movie was Batman Returns). Another reason I might like 2 more is because 1 seems like setup (like Kevin vs. Harry & Marv and when Kevin gets left alone the first time) and 2 is when they can kind of build off of that, although 2 is pretty the same movie. I also think I just like the whole thing that stuff happened again (Kevin being on his own again) and I find the humor in it. The last possibility is the whole Coke vs. Pepsi thing. 1 had Pepsi products while 2 is Coke products. I'm more of a Coke products person (Coke, Mello Yello, Sprite, and Barq's Root Beer for sure). So I like seeing Kevin and others drinking Coke. Plus when I think Christmas, Coke comes to mind. Not Pepsi. So yeah. I think I like Home Alone 2 more. I still like 1, but I seem to always be in the mood to watch 2 more, and when the Christmas season starts, I have to start with 2 first and then back and watch 1.
think i like home alone 1 a little better than home alone 2 but both are great. the fact that kevin gets left at the airport in the second one was a little bit silly and the reason to get seperated from his family. both are classic holiday comedies none the less.
I enjoy Home Alone and Home Alone 2. Home Alone is my favorite of the two, but watching it as an adult you realize how fcked up Kevin’s entire family is. It’s unreal lol
Macaulay Culkin was meant to be Kevin McCallister for Home Alone the same way Robert Downey Jr. Was meant to be Iron Man in The Marvel Cinematic Universe MCU.
Yeah you could easily pick out the faults however ya could do with like every film right. The first two are absolute classics with heartfelt messages no doubt. Yet looking at the whole franchise at it is, i've always felt that Home Alone 3. Is a slightly fresh underrated direction for me, plus it delt with terrorism even which gave it something ballsy.
The sequel title makes no sense It's called Home Alone 2: Lost in New York If he's lost in New York then he's not Home Alone is he? People could argue that Home Alone only needed 1 movie and I would agree to some extent but I do like 2 and it is better than 3, 4 and 5 and the remake
I actually like The Pigeon Lady. But I like Old Man Marley too. I do like that Old Man Marley ended up being nice in the end. The Pigeon Lady I just felt like she was nicer than what she seemed like. Also, I remember some of the marketing including The Pigeon Lady (I had a collector's cup of her and Kevin on it that I think I got from a fast food restaurant,). So I kind of knew she would be a good person. Old Man Marley though I felt like you weren't sure about him. But I think I liked The Pigeon Lady slightly more because I knew she was a nice person from the start and we'd have to wait for Kevin to discover it.
I love the first three home alone movies. Did not care for 4 and 5 and did not see the six one
Both are Classic Christmas MASTERPIECES🎄
home alone 2 is different in a few way by the way and i love both home alone and home alone 2 so much
good job on the topic and i love Home Alone 1 and 2.
John Candy did great just playing a support character

5:20 I have a simple explanation for this...he probably went outside and used a payphone to call the pizza parlor and place an order.

I like both but I just like part 1 more

Timeless Classics.
Part 3 was solid, from the same producer and screenwriter
I like the first one more than the second 👍👍👍👍
Home alone was my childhood
My Simple Answer…
I choose Both. Cause both are Great and in My Book. But that’s just my honest thoughts….

I've always loved these two movies, but the first Home Alone is definitely better and more watchable.
Im glad you got a request from Kevin Mccalister

They are both good but if I have to pick one, I would say the first movie.

ye they didnt really explain the phone line that well, but if it was say like in groundhog day, where the town was cut off but locally still worked
I liked part one better for the reasons you mentioned, but,I thought part 2 was funnier!
I’ve only seen the first 3 movies and half of the 4th movie

nobody but the parents had there alarm clock set in home alone so why would anyone else get up leave and i guess the rest of them slept in
Matt one movie you forgot bone 🍖 alone 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Also why didn't the pizza delivery guy call the cops considering he thought he was shot at by the person he delivered to 😅.
Home Alone 2 is better!
The sequel title makes no sense

The first one because it doesnt have The Pigeon Lady which is a stupid character. Old Man Marley from the first one is a better character.
