Hi Bob, Jenny and Poppy, what a huge site, lovely that there is a beach just across from the site. Hope you chilled a little after the bank card incident, it’s very worrying when something like that happens. Glad it was all ok in the end. Really enjoying your tour. Taking all this on board Bob for when we get our motorhome x
One of our favourite places is just up the road at Bamburgh. Our friend has a bench in her memory, looking back at the castle by an old lighthouse. It’s a stunning place. Hope you are both more settled now 🙏😊☕️
Hi Bob and Jenny Please take no notice of these horrid trolls we think your great , learned so much about motorhoming from you both. Lots of love Ted and Trace xx
Thought the site was a bit characterless but maybe because it's so big. The beach looked good and Poppy clearly enjoyed it. Dogs find such joy in the simplest of things.
Love Seahouses, got there on a Sunday, stayed in a B&B but every place to eat was closed. The hotel which only served their guest gave us dinner after all their guests. While we waited the sat us by a window overlooking the North sea and a pot of tea. Nice memories, nice town. Nice castles, Alnwick, Bamburgh and Landisfare.
Yes it’s beautiful, some years ago I used to go there to Berwick twice a week from The Haymarket on the bus 🚌 with an Explorer ticket 🎫, so was able to use it for Lindisfarne and Bamburgh etc too . A bargain .
Oh dear this is going to date me. I can clearly remember my father camping just outside Bamburgh in our blue army surplus tent. He was sitting on a tin trunk and made strawberry jam on the Primus stove and listening to England 🏴 win the World Cup in 1966. Enjoy your time in Seahouses. We where there in June. With a trip out to the Farnes
Another lovely place with a beach too, oh its awful when the banking system goes down, I hope Bob is more happier now, poppy loved running on the beach. The c&c club have some lovely places, enjoy your few days, take care xx
Great informative Vlog as always Jenny, Bob & Poppy of course 😂 …..Absolutely love Northumberland….Alnwick Castle certainly worth a visit ….just breathtaking …The Treehouse is a great place to eat ….. Bamburgh stunning …Just come back from trip (1 month) touring Scotland …. Trossachs, Kelpies… Moray Firth & Aberdeenshire ….truly Amazing …already booked my next adventure ….Thank you so much for inspiring me to get out there ….xx
Never been to Northumberland, on our list of places to go. We were going away next weekend for a couple of weeks to Shropshire but hubby not too well at the moment and in hospital having tests. Such is life we will just go with the flow and see what happens.
We love that area and we were there in July for 3 weeks. You should walk along to Anstead Farm they have a coffee hut which serves great coffee and cakes it’s called the Lazy Cow and they have a Facebook page if you want to check it out.
Enjoying your Scottish trip so far. Was the Richmond site ever called Gilling West? We went there is the 80s. Ill be interested to see what you think of Blair Drummond. Yes, you do sometimes hear the monkeys from the safari park but its a beautiful quiet site set in a walled garden. Say ‘Hi’ to Stirling for me! Doune is nice for a visit, the castle made famous by Monty Python. Walks along the river and the chance to see a kingfisher.
Thoroughly enjoying these videos Bob! However this being my area, and Beadnell and Seahouses out favourite place to be. I would have came three the Tyne Tunnel! Rather than the A1! It’s a lot easier. And anther alternative route is the coastal route from the start. When your wife says roads are beginning to get narrow! Try meeting the bus while towing a caravan.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo it makes for a much better journey. And now there’s no toll machines at the tunnel! You pay online. And if there’s problems on the A1 further up, you can join the coastal route up from the A189! Which is our route up to that area.
We are trying to get booked in here with something we have from the Camping club but still struggling to get availability. As soon as we see and get in touch it's already gone the space, one day we will get there.
Hi Bob, Jenny & Poppy i saw something earlier about Santandaer bank not good either maybe worth checking out, EU? We are having a mini heatwave here. Poppy is loving the beach :)
Hi Bob, If you wanting to get rid of phone numbers etc from the club site POIs, there is an easy method, but it could be time taking. The POIs are all in csv files which can be opened and edited in a spreadsheet. The downside is that each site has to be updated individually!
Yes I know, but we couldn't figure out how the fields were arranged, compared to the Caravan and Motorhome Club sites' POI. I'll have to have another play with it.
Going through Barnard Castle is not a problem, going via the A66 when going north is a huge diversion. Love Beadnell, but not that site, too busy. We were booked for a week in September but cancelled it, glad we did. Again a more direct route off the A1 is not bad. You must be visiting most sites for second or third time around?
We're trying very hard to follow the club recommended routes., not every viewer is a confident motorhomer or caravanner. There are always other sites to visit. We've never been to Balbirnie.

A 5 minute walk through the village to Beadnell Bay proper (past the headland) and you're on possibly the most beautiful beach in England. Fabulous little harbour and great sweeping semi-circular bay. The harbour is the only West-facing harbour on the East coast of England.
Hi Bob, I uploaded the CCC sites to my Avtex Tourer Two as new POI's. I edited the original files supplied for each of the categories, Club Sites, CL, Camping in the Forest Etc. and re-uploaded them successfully and they now don't read out the phone number etc. I can send you an original file and the updated one so you can see the differences?
Hi Bob, Jenny and Poppy. Another terrific ‘arriving at’ - for once you’ve followed in our footsteps 😀 (well, from earlier this year 👍🏻). Right - editing the site name on your SatNag: (1) find the site you want to edit (e.g. in the list of Favourites) and click on it, (2) you should see some icons at the bottom of the screen, click on ‘i’ which will bring up the site info and map, (3) click the 4 horizontal lines in the left hand menu and choose ‘Edit’, (4) on the Edit page pick the Name field and you will be able to amend the name, (5) pick ‘Done’ to save, then ‘back’ (twice) to get to where you began. It’s much easier than we’ve made it sound! (Good Luck!)… P&K (PS. You can also do this with a spreadsheet on a computer as it's a CSV file, but the above method works with your SatNav 👍🏻).
I got to the site info and map, but I don't have four horizontal lines on the left hand menu, so no opportunity to edit. Is yours a Avtex Tourer Two or the Garmin version? Edit: you can only edit it if it's in the favourites! Thanks.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo Hi Bob, Sorry, we hadn’t realised the Edit function was ONLY available via Favourites - we’ve always done it this way - but we’re very pleased to hear you worked the problem and got it sorted! (And, once again, we’ve learned something from you! 👍🏻😀). Our SN is the Garmin RV 785 - same user interface (we think). Safe travels… Phil & Karen
Alnwick likely won’t allow dogs because they have poisonous plants, not just to pets but to humans too. The Poison Garden is one of only a few places licensed to have them.
Video was very interesting, lovely beach, Poppy on the beach and the waves she soon jumped bless her
Just at the top of the county for us about 40 miles north. Looks like a great trip ahead, I’m playing catch up….have a great time
Another lovely vid bob and Jenny, poppy being the superstar!! 🐺😊😊😊😊
Beautiful place Beadnell visited in June when we were staying in Bamburgh, hope you are both enjoying your travels.
Right at the beginning of this video there is a lovely photo of both of you.

Hi Bob and jenny 👍just us 2 in checking ✅ thanks again for this video update 👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🚌🚌🚌
Beadnell bay is awesome. Am making my third trip this year in october. It’s a really good site, right next to the sea.
One of our favourite beach walks is from Bamburgh Castle to Seahouses for our fish and chips.😊
It’s a lovely part of the world x
We we're at beadnell bay last week .We toured around Northumberland. We had the best fish and chips in seahouses that we have had for a long time
Did you go to the Hook Fish N Chips shop? We had a really nice meal from there.
We went to Neptune twice

It's very open, but really enjoyed our short time there.
We went up there a couple of years ago, stayed at Annestead Farm I think it was called, lovely place, enjoy x
really enjoying your trip we have never been to Northunberland its looks a bit cold!Poppy had a great time on the beach, see you on the next stop.

Useful video, thanks 👍 we're considering a trip here later in the year.
Here or up around the play area. No brainer

Yes we always take cash just in case . As petrol is expensive so you need reserves .

Should have gone to Doe Park site fantastic
Weather has gone a little wet up here in Scotland too. Hopefully will clear up for your holiday. 😊
Shame about the clouds, but the scenery makes up for it.. was the queue due to the bike hosting each arrival?
It probably does take lo ger that way. Think there used to be pitches in that queuing area.
