- Hey! Im Kris from the Doll Studio! Some of you may remember me from way back when I was @AGSALONSTYLIST! I used to work at the American girl store in New York! Good to see ya Kris! I got my Corinne and I so agree, she is ticking all the right boxes and I instantly loved her!
I found your post on Facebook talking about your TH-cam channel on one of the American Girl groups. I ordered my Corinne, clothes, and accessories online because while the closest store is three hours away, I don't have the money to rent a hotel room to stay in over night so I could get her at the store without spending six hours driving back and forth (especially when people are still traveling back home from the holidays). The tracker said the order should make it to my apartment by tomorrow night (even though the same tracker hasn't been updated since Monday and says she's still in Wisconsin).
I would have loved to get Gwynn, but since I didn't have the money at the time, I will wait. When I do get her, I would like to re-wig her as I am not a fan of bangs. I am a younger sister to an older sister myself while I am also an older sister, but to a younger brother. To be fair, there are not very many AG characters who are the oldest in their family (the main one that pops into my head besides Corinne is Felicity). With that, I will focus on Corinne for now while I wait to have more money (and possible for a trip out to the stores instead of having to impatiently wait for the order to make it to me with a wonky package tracker).
Edit: fixed the spelling of Corinne's name. Why do I keep on writing her names in both the right and wrong way at the same time?
I believe the Gwynn facemold is a new one. We have Emerson and her face is quite different. I feel Gywnn is a cross between Emerson and Ashlyn because Gwynn's jaw line resembles Ashlyn and not Emerson.

Found you through your post on the American Girl Doll Adult Collectors page. Thank you for taking us to the AG store, I'm new to the community and have never been yet, so it was cool to see a little bit of the process! Kahlea did a beautiful job on the new braids, I think her features and blue pop a little more (where as the original braids looked a lil thrown together).
Your nails were soo cute as well on their own, but they went along so well with the color pallet of the doll!

Kris can you give me a tip - where do you park when you go into the city just to go to the AG store? We live in Upstate NY. Would like to skip the hotel and all the walking.
I live in NY! But when I drive I usually park in the garage directly behind the store on 52nd! I will warn you its pricey without a reservation to the lot, however its extremely convenient if your just going to Ag for the day!! ❤️

I personally love Corinne with the blue hair, however, I am not sure I love that the girl of the year has colored hair. This is only because I know a lot of people who want all the girls of the year but do not like colored hair. I love her story and love all the AG dolls with colored hair… I have a few with colored hair and they are my favorite.
I literally just ordered Corrane and one of the new truly me dolls. Can't wait. I'm counting down the days
