Is there an alternative way to replace the intake manifold and ring besides removing the engine on the MS 180C? Engine runs bad and a carb kit and adjustment didn't change anything. Piston and cylinder is score free. My Brake-Kleen test stalls the idling engine when sprayed in the area of the intake manifold.
I just sorta fixed a bg50 blower that had straight run through it. We’ll see how long it last. Told the guy no guarantee but I did it for free. Still had some compression but also piston scoring

I am here watching this because I killed not one but two Stihl Chainsaws and one Craftsman. Did Stihl help with the part when it's still under warranty?

Why would you use plyers to pull the clutch drum off was it stuck just wondering

Yeah you would be surprised how long these little engines will run like that!
Buy a bearing puller and use it to remove the flywheel.
It doesn't make sense to do a psi and vac test you have to replace the seals anyway

Do a case split on a gs661 and piston and cylinder like I did
Or use a pice of rope never had a pice of rope break in the cylinder like the plastic too

Saw is junk by the time you put a piston and cylinder and bearing in it the saw is not worth it
