Boy how things have changed in the last 10 years in Nelson! The big money rolled in and steam shoveled the relaxed , hippy vibe. None of us had money back in the Day....but we could still afford a home and a happy life. I've been here long enough to be nostalgic about the place.
Nelson is definitely a unique city! I admire Bernie for having the courage to run and through running to bring the needs of the marginalized people into focus.
Sorry I didn't know it was the woman in clown attire. I'm from the states and a good friend of mine lives in Nelson, BC. He just told me that's Bernie.
I lived and worked in Beautiful Nelson in the late 70s and early 80s . Visited in 2021 and was shocked at what a shit hole it has become . Disgusting .
It's available May 26th in Canada on knowledge.ca or on their TV channel. If you are outside Canada you can rent on Vimeo on Demand starting on May 26th here: vimeo.com/ondemand/onlyinnelson
Paige: don't forget the Kootenay Lake when you are there, and the great pizza place that could give Chicago a run for its money. I speak from experience. Ahhhh!
Well... it's been good while it lasted folks. Lived in Nelson for 30 years, and have been warning Nelson for thirty years. But no one listens to the fool on the hill. now the Shire is most surely going to get overrun with Orcs. And i don't see anyone "volunteering" to take that ring to Mordor anytime soon. Wonderful work on the video. I hope it can inspire the world. But pattern recognition tends to tell me that some real estate slobs are going to come and buy up this "bubble" due to it's increased popularity, as a result of a spotlight being shone on us. The spotlight just got wider and brighter. We may as well make a mile wide sign and hover it over Nelson with the words "FOR SALE" on it. If you need me, I'll be in Salmo, because I, like many others, simply cannot afford to live here anymore.
Can't wait to see it! Amy is such a great filmmaker and Nelson is such a great subject...

This is amazing Amy! thank you thank you so much! great work, can't wait to see it
Nelson seems like a small microcosm of Eugene, Oregon where I live. People here say the same thing. "Only in Eugene".
>> Petaluma? Cali as well? has that rep here!
I love this video Amy. I'm so honored to have had you invest in my career. Johnny
Nelson: it's a long way from Missouri, but I'm in your corner. Hi George and Betty!

The last 16 or more years is when it started to slide. Attracted alot of bad people and values to that town. Very dark energy over that place!
This looks awesome. Some of my favourite people in the world = in this trailer. Anna's final quote is choice.
I was going to post the exact same thing. Anna nailed it.
Documentaries about politics don't normally excite me a whole lot, but I can't wait to see Only in Nelson in the fall.

About as unique and special as seattle. Thrives on tourism.
Thank you Amy very cool

Magic little bubble right it’s a horrible over priced place and needs change
That’s why I love democracy.

The photo clip that opened the vid caught my attention. I always thought Buda was male
