NICELY DONE! You made me so proud of my little home town in the mountains! You two did a fantastic job of showcasing Nelson for the funky little town(sort of metropolitan/hippie city) that it is. It's a tad odd due to covid these days. But everywhere is at this point. Thank you so much!
I posted your vid to a local "PEOPLE OF NELSON " Facebook page yesterday and a very possitive response and I'm sure most likely got you some new subscribers! There's 10,000 people in Nelson. Theres 10,000 Subscribers to that page.
We were wondering where all the views were coming from! We have got about 1800 views since you did that and about 20 new subs! Thank you so much for doing that!
My pleasure! I know you were only here for a short time. And you did a wonderfull job of flattering us Nelsonites. But I can't belive you missed the streetcar! Take care! Have a great trip home.
@@ontheroadwithyode390 Ha ha... we had clips of us waiting for the streetcar... as we DID intent to take it, but it didn't seem to be running on that day.
Well done! I grew up in Nelson in the 70’s. The town has changed but obviously the food and hospitality has not changed. Will always have a special spot in my memories.
Awesome video LOVE Nelson, been there 2x and ate @ Cantina Del Centro both times! Loved it! Next time I'll be sure to check out the other awesome places especially Oso Negro and Pitchfork!
Welcome to the West Kootenays and the Selkirk Mountain Range! I am so please you enjoyed your visit to Nelson ... it is a beautiful small city ... and part of the reason I moved here after living in the Vancouver area for over 50 years. As you drive east you will pass thru the Purcells Mountain Range and then it's the Rockies when you get to Cranbrook. If you haven't passed thru already try stopping at Fernie ... it's a funky little village. Cheers!
Thank you sir! We had to drive south toward the US Border so we missed the Purcells and the rest. Our original plan was to head through Canada and finally drop down into the US in North Dakota, but Covid messed that plan up. Hopefully we can return some day.
This is the best way to start a Friday!! 👍👍 Enjoying the show, sipping my coffee. Nelson is about the mid point between where we have family. Have driven through, never stopped. Next time we are definitely stopping. Thanks for the great videos!!!
Thank you for posting this. Loved every minute of this too short video. Melissa does seem to have a knack for choosing great places to eat. I wish I were in Nelson.
I haven’t been to Nelson in years! The food has me drooling, so many good trendy restaurants! Chris & Mel your doing another great passage through BC. 🇨🇦❤️BC
I visited Nelson when my daughter was really young. We went to the park near BOB to use the play structures. I saw a single man there, and went over to check him out (responsible father here!). Turns out he was an engineer assessing the play structures for safety. The ones he considered unsafe? The ones my daughter liked! Oh, well. Nelson was pretty cool though.
Those were good choices for a first visit. Next time you come to Nelson, some recommendations: Outer Clove, Kurama Sushi, The Royal, Red Light Ramen, and Big Dee's Ice Cream. And if you're here in the summer, go to the Rose Garden Cafe at Lakeside Park for the best poutine in town.
Hello, How are You? I am cuban but I AM living in Uruguay. i found a Job offer in Nelson. But I Heard that it is too hard to find a rent house there. Let me know if it is real. And give me an advice I do not want to lose this opportunity. May I can rent in another city near to Nelson. Please write me. Thank You , god bless You.
Hi Maria. We spent only a couple of days in Nelson and therefore we cannot provide you with any valuable advice. All we can say is that it's a beautiful town and that we enjoyed our time there. Best of luck in your endeavors.

Your daughter sounds like a daredevil! :D
We've lived in Nelson for 5 years and have never been to any of these restaurants. Boy we have some exploring to do.
We were delighted and were so sad to leave. It seemed that there were a lot of other places too! Hope the rain stops up there. Thanks for watching.
I live on the east shore of Kootenay lake all of those are awesome.

We do hope to get back to Nelson some day!
You could spend a week here and eat in different places each time and not be disappointed!
We were thinking that our time there was way too short!
My buddie is the chef s at pitchfork
Hope your coming to Kimberley 👍
Oh! That looks like an awesome place. We missed it this time... but maybe some other time!
I've liked it, previously subscribed and added a comment. Is there anything else that I can do? I'm enjoying your road trip.
Thanks for subbing! I guess all you can do now is keep watching and telling everyone else you know about our channel. :D
I'm jealous. Nelson is supposed to be a great little place.
It sure is!

:D
BC best kept secret. But like every other BC best, it’s now too expensive to live there. I still live in the Kootaneys, there’s mo better place.
It is a lovely area for sure.
