I'm only on the second trailer and this is making me so incredibly happy. Genshin is going to be one of those games I look back on when I'm older and get so nostalgic over. The story, characters, and music in this game are amazing. Never knew I would have been so interested in watching others experience it for the first time.

Mihoyo knew what they were doing when they made Zhongli. I hardly ever see that kinda love being flourished onto a character. It’s basically magic. Your reaction reminded me of that once again.

I swear I'm the only player in the world who genuinely doesn't like him lmao. I love his voice. I like his design a lot but I don't like the character much.... at all. I also don't find him as attractive as say Childe or Diluc simply because of the rat tail. The rat tail throws it all off for me. I think he's rigid and I don't trust him very much and I don't like how he treats some situations which is all I'll say considering I want to avoid spoilers but yeah... He's actually one of my least favorite characters sadly. I want to like him. I get why everyone else does, but I can't.

Fischl and Albedo's teasers are incredibly underrated.

So here was the beginning
Man I can't believe I watched all that, first video I've seen from this dude, was pretty good, the trailers really are something else. Really sad he didn't see the important opening cutscenes and stuff I guess since they aren't trailers. Would've really given a nice starting off point to who you are, what your end goal is etc.
It really it a great game. Yes it absolutely has its downsides, its a Chinese company, you don't get much bang for your buck, you're data is likely harvested and the events and characters go on hiatus to encourage you to play now rather than let content build up.
However the game itself is amazing, the story is honestly one of my favourite stories in any game, the relationships between the characters are continually fleshed out and it really shines. Most importantly it can still be a free game and you don't need to spend any money to enjoy the game and its story.
Just like any really good story from an Anime or Game I love. Its the idea of interpretation that gives such life and weight to a universe. Just the idea of the Archons meeting and talking is to exciting. The idea of all the archons discovering what the traveller really is, the thought of them banding together to defeat the unknown god? There's so many possibilities with the story and I love that.
I love how when everyone reacts to Zhonglis trailor, you guys always fall in love with him 😂

When first heard about genshin and zhongli, I was like "what's so special about this dude? He looks decent for a character. I don't get all the hype about him :/" Then watched his character demo and now here I am saving all my primos for when his banner rerun comes by.
This was hands down the most wholesome, kind and entertaining reaction I've ever seen. A long one, but worth a watch.

I HIGHLY recommend watching the Teyvat story timeline preview, Travail. It gives a peek into what the whole story is about, from beginning to end. It's insane how Mihoyo has planned out all this since the beginning.

I played Genshin for almost a year until I stumbled upon the video. I remember distinct times being impatient wondering what direction the game was going to take when since i craved new content. It blew my mind that everything had already been laid out and that it existed from the very start. It gives a good idea of what to look forward to next.
I'm only half into the video and I already got really emotional. It reminded me why I fell in love with this game: the powerful stories, the stunning visuals, the spectacular music, how unique each character is. It's easy to forget, the longer you play a game you take things for granted. But seeing all these things through your eyes took me back on a journey. Thank you so much!

I used to be a Genshin-less, comparing Genshin to BOTW. However, once I was drawn in, I can't even consider it like BOTW anymore, as it has became its own.
That is the beauty of games. Some may copy, yet not perfect. While other take some of what makes one game, to make it into their own.

“Childe” is pronounced as Child, which is a rare title used in the middle ages (meaning young lord). He is a bow user that has a melee stance and his limited banner is currently running. This is his second rerun and might not have it again any time soon. You can try out his character in-game until the end of his banner, which is ending in about 9 more days!

@@BranOnline Well I got good news for you, supposedly in the next update Mihoyo will add a new permanent banner where you can pull any limited character that has already had 2 reruns (only one right now is Childe). So any character that has had 2 reruns will be permanently available on this banner

i absolutely love how mihoyo shows off all of their characters. even the ones that we dont use that much, id say at least 90% of them are all so amazing. if only we could use them all reliably

i actually felt quite emotional watching this. seeing someone else see all of it for the first time just kinda reinforces how much i love this game and all its story, lore and characters to pieces. makes me wanna go back and be amazed all over again

So first up, sorry for the long post!
If you're interested in how the characters play in the game, the demo doesn't really show them off. There's a series of videos called Collected Miscellany, each one of those is a video explaining the basics of a character (such as their abilities, how they can combine with other characters, etc) and what roles they play (damage dealers, healers, supports, etc). The Collected Miscellany series also covers Jean and Diluc, who don't have character demos.
Not all of the launch characters got Character Demos or Collected Miscellany (most 4 star characters didn't), so that's why you saw characters which weren't introduced to you yet.
In terms of videos to watch, I'd leave the behind the scenes stuff where they show how they worked on bosses, environments and music (performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, changes depending on where in the game world you are) for after you actually start playing and experienced them first. You missed a Story Teaser (Flavors of the World), but it'll make no sense without some context. There's a concert that's 1 hr 50 mins long, you can watch it or wait till you've found the music in the game first. The composer of Genshin Impact, Yu-Peng Chen, is insanely good.
The numbers you saw on the update trailers like 2/3 and 12/23 referred to the dates those updates would launch. Most events that the updates introduce like festivals (Moonchase, Windblume and the Lantern Rite) are seasonal, but some activities are permanent or have come back at least once. Every update also offers a free 4 star character or 4 star weapon via completing events.
As for unlocking the characters, some are naturally given to you through story and in-game objectives, some can be gotten for free from events, and the game does give free premium currency throughout the game (treasure chests, quests, various in-game challenges) so you can spend that on going for more characters/weapons. Currently, not all characters are available at all times. A small pool of 5 stars and a highlighted 5 star is available at any one time. For example, Childe/Tartaglia is the current spotlighted 5-star (on his 3rd run), and in a couple of weeks, Hu Tao will replace him and he will cease to be available until he is re-run again. All 4 star characters (not weapons though) are put into the standard pool the update after the one they are introduced.

@@BranOnline If you're looking to be a fellow low spender, best deal in the game is the Welkin's Moon, but it does mean you gotta at least log on every day for 30 days. Definitely gets you the most premium currency with the smallest amount of real money. I buy it like a subscription, five bucks a month and with that and strategic savings, I've been able to get most of the 5* characters I really wanted. But really really important, ANY of the characters are good with the right builds. Play who you want and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I'm really glad I found your video because as a long-time genshin player, I sort of became used to all the wonderful characters and stories and gameplay that genshin has to offer.
