I really appreciate how you show everyone that there's more than one way to light a project. Almost every video has a different technique. It's awesome that you're willing to take risks to get the right lighting every time. Thank you, as always, for sharing!
I appreciate it! I am in very good position after buying so many lights and gear. Now I can get creative with what I have. Thank you for supporting the channel from the start!
I came looking for info on the F22C, and loved the whole vlog. Had no idea my phone was a light meter,. Instant sub brother. I'm also a 1 man band half the time.
Very informative video. I'm starting to get more into videography coming from photography and your videos are very helpful. I actually like in Oklahoma. I live like 10 min from that hotel. Kinda surprised me when I saw it. :)
Thanks for showing us the F22c as an interview keylight. I was hoping to try one out but was worried about the limited size and output. How would you say it performs on your shoots?
I do a lot of one man band work and over the years have got to know what i do and don't need. I found that once you've got that sorted then usually it all flows....most of the time!!
nice work! I get to work a lot as one man band for dentists exclusively now, I'm editing one now lol I used to do music videos but since covid the artists can't afford them anymore, but It's keeping me so busy I have no time anymore for anything else. good point with the truck! or you can put a sign on your van that says Sewer Inspector or Fresh Fish. no one will break into those lol
Agency work is a thing of the past where I'm from. All of the agencies here now have their own production teams. Gone are the days of agencies just providing creative.
I'm debating between the X & C. Do you find yourself using rgb or are you usually using the bi color range? Seems like most people use these at 5600 or 2700
Small world, we lived in Tulsa way back in the mid 80's when my parents attended Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa off of W. Kenosha St. in Broken Arrow.
@@PDMokry I mean the question was not really for you cause obviously you work as a gaffer so it only makes sense that you get more diverse opportunities than most people. But yeah, I just don't get why 99% of people get the C instead of the X.
@@jpemile I'd get the C just to have the G/M shift adjustment. Too bad they don't make a lower cost version of these as CCT with G/M. I agree with @PDMokry it's only $200 more for the added flexibility and adjustably as the LEDs age.
I don't know what Piotr uses, but I got a used Matthews B387487 light stand (spreader stand) for $35 at my local used camera store. The stand itself weigs around 7 pounds (so much lighter than a C Stand) and has a claimed capacity of 20 pounds. I also picked up a couple of Impact LS-96HABI that are pretty good, and again, bought them used for about $35 each. You might also look into the Kupo Classic Stand, which has a claimed capacity of 22 pounds and weighs under 6 pounds. I am sure there are others.
I one man band all the time, I'm literally a jane of all trades ha. Once in a while I can bring on others, but the budgets in my area are getting tighter and tighter.
@@PDMokry For sure its a quiet place. But setting the stand 12in higher and tilting the arm down will deliver the fixture to the same spot with no bar pointing out the back. A habit maybe worth developing. Its amazing how some folk have a habit of climbing through 'banned' areas!
Great videos But I would be careful when choice my backgrornd as I mention in your last video high school I myself as a 1 man band would have use the dental chair as a background!
Thanks for the feedback! I like that idea, but it would be tuff to place them without the walls being an issue. If I went tighter, It could have worked! Thanks for watching!
How often do you get hired as a one man band?
I work for an architecture firm as their media production specialist and I am 100% a one man band. Challenging at times for sure.
All the time and its gets lonely

@@PNWMOTION So true!
@@Pachiscruz2 Seems to be the case for most of us!

I'm always amazed at how good a simple F22C can look, and it's so simple especially for a one-man-band shoot.
10:12 nailed it 👍🏻 Thank you so much for your content!!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the frames!
NIce shots, well done!
Thanks so much! The F22c is great for these types of shoots!

Great video, so I know there is a lightmeter in Sideus, thanks for the info. What is your white balance on your camera?
I custom white balance each camera.
I’m learning a lot from your videos, especially about matching the color temperature on your lights. How do you set white balance in your cameras?

How are you using the light. I got the c and had to send it back because of the fan noise
so with the amaran f22c u can use the light meter app in sydius link ?
The light meter is not tied to the units. So you can use it with any light.

Do you use your personal phone when controlling the fixtures or do you have a dedicated device?
A lot of the time I use an iPad. But a phone works too.
I am curious how many people actually use the HSI mode of their F22c.
I'm also curious about this. Every BTS I see with the F22C seems to be in CCT mode.
So I have used it in HSI a few times. The price difference is not much and output is similar too.
