As much as I love SkekGra, and he's my favorite Skeksis... I have to admit that there was a time he was just as bad. Even though he's never been a parasite, as The Conqueror he would have been technically a murderer (as he confesses himself) and a thief in stealing land. V_V
In the end.. The Emperor was a very fragile being, a creature so afraid of the End, filled with terror and suffering, that he trembled up the very idea of dying..
True Isaacs really played a good villain that's both funny and very threatening and basically controls evil incarnate the darkening and is falling apart literally
Actually, he looked more like dessicated chunks of flesh when he died. Afterwards, the other Skeksis gathered up his bits and pieces and cremated them, so in a way the emperor became more ash than dust. Still, it's all particulate matter, so I guess I'm just splitting hairs! 😄
I know the scene but now I'm hearing it in my head he said it with the same venomous passion is the best way I can put it it's freaking perfect I wish they didn't have to cancel from what I know it's not cancelled indefinitely but Netflix isn't going to throw money at it for a while given the coronavirus and all that they just couldn't give the time on when it would be back hopefully they can get out of their contracts and find a different streaming service if that is the case
I didn't grew up with The Dark Crystal (born in 1997) so I decided to watch the show before the movie. Looking back at this scene after watching the movie, it's ironic.

He was also D. J., the doctor character in Event Horizon. He was a sympathetic good guy in that movie, and he ended up getting gutted and strung up over an operating table. Nasty!
He's possibly most well known for his role as Lucius Malfoy from Harry Potter. Another role he played was The Judge from another Netflix series, Castlevania.
And Mark Hamill, who plays skekTek in the show, played the Fire Lord from Avatar. It's funny- the two shows they share have almost complete role reversals, with Hamill being Isaacs' ruthless master in Avatar, and with Isaac's being that for Hamill in AoR.
He was also Dick Dastardly in Scoob!, which, in my own opinion, I find the best role he’s done along aside Travington, Lucius Malfoy, Captain Hook and SkekSo.

The surviving Skekies reunite with thier counterparts and fly away into the heavens so no they didn't become dust, they pretty much got away with murder and buggering around with a Crystal that wasn't thiers to use.

It's like baking a cake, is the cake still an egg when it's finally made? No? Is it the flour? How about the milk? Or maybe it's just a cake... The urskeks were flawed, yes (it's part of the reason they were split in two (the other reason is aughra's son but that's another story)) but they never wished to harm the gelfling or thra. The buggering around with the crystal I'll give you that, but to be fair, they did ask aughra if they could use it and were completely honest with their intentions, which was to return home, and aughra agreed to help them.
