I went to a 50k library sale recently and was the only book seller!!! Came away with 280+ profitable books 😂 doing this four months now.. my 2 cents of advice?? Find where the good books are and go there!! If it’s not too far away, go!!
Thank you thank you thank you! I went to the store I use to source today and was just talking to the workers and ended up with my van's trunk and back seats FULL for $20. They use big metal bins and told me I could come back once a week for a bin of books for $10! All it took was to open my mouth and ask. I wouldn't have done it before watching you guys. ❤❤
@@Raikenprofit I started out scanning, so I know I've got a few really good ones, but the bin was not scanned. Luckily as I was emptying I saw a few titles that I've sold before so I know at least those will flip fast.
@Brainjock not bad. I've been focusing a little more the past month or so on wholesale, but getting back to the basics in the new year. Started an insta and working on thrifting content for my channel. 😊❤
@Brainjock I'm not wholesaling books, the profit is just not there with the FBA fees, at least from the distributors I've found so far. Thrifting and bulk second hand buys are definitely the way to go for me on books.
I wish! It was all for my homeschool before we ever started sourcing books when I found this out about libraries. Now we’re sourcing for a profit, game changer 👀 lots of like new condition books in libraries Kids books have always done good for us
Wow! I bet some of those homeschool books would have been great money, especially the actual curriculum-based ones! Seems like you have some smart sourcing helpers now! Best of luck with your sourcing. Do you typically find that your children's books do best individually or in lots?
Please tell me about expired textbooks. I never hear anyone talking about the expiration date on them. I called our local college and asked them and no one knew anything.
Gotta network and make friends, think of your best friend in the world, do you think if they worked at the library they would let you in the back room? Turn that librarian into your best friend!
Great vid, I’ve just started doing this in the UK. When scanning the books on the Amazon FBA app what margin % or value profit do you look to make as a minimum per book. Any advise or any other videos you’ve done which you recommend me watching?
You really have to figure that out for your business. Some people prefer to work in quantity, meaning they can make a lower profit per book because they will sell a higher volume. Others prefer low volume high roi.
Very informative, doesn’t Scout IQ reqire a monthly sub and/or a Amazon sellers account? Aldo, don’t know if anybody’s ask you this but a couple of times you guys referred to finding books that no one had scanned before’. How would we know and why does it matter? Can you explain what you meant by this?’
It depends on how quickly you want to grow, and where you will be sourcing. You can start with as low as $10 in some cases. I would recommend saving up enough to pay for your initial supplies, and fees or account costs, and $100 or so for sourcing. You should easily be able to source with $100 and find PLENTY of books to list! It may take a bit to get started though, books can take a while to find.
@@Raikenprofit Thank you very much for the information. I appreciate it brother. I love your channel and the content you put out on TH-cam. Keep up the great job.

Hey guys. I get hundreds of free books weekly from a thrift store. They were throwing them away because they can't keep up with the influx. Some are not acceptable but most are good to new condition. I wondered if you could do a video about "jenson books". I see them on almost EVERY book listing and undercutting every seller on prime and I also see them on Merchant fullfilled listings. I go to list my books and see them just racing to the bottom on these listings. I sold books about 7 years ago on Amazon and I now sell them FBA as of Feb 2019 and of course it has changed a lot. Jenson books seems to get every sale. They are selling FBA books for as little as $4 and it seems they run the price down. Can you elaborate on this company?
A store near me has boat loads of fiction and religious books 20 for $10. They are wrapped up so it’s an unknown. Are the religious books a good buy under that scenario ? Thanks for the content.
Blind buying can be good, but it's really up to you if the risk is worth it or not. You would have a relatively low investment in the books, so you may not lose out on much even if you can't list them, however not knowing if you will be able to list any of them sounds like a bad situation waiting to happen.
Hey there, great video. I'm from New Zealand but just wondering would the shipping cost to Amazon US from NZ be too expensive to ship? Is it still worth it?

He took the seats out of his car, scanned the books and uploaded them to a spreadsheet. Then he hired a virtual assistant and they did the legwork and sent him the files, he printed it out and then hit up a ups store and shipped them out.

ScoutIQ does cost. You can tell no one has scanned them because there won't be any information on the books. No sell price, no ranks, etc.
What do you do if you scan books that haven’t been scanned before?
I wonder if that means you're the first to enter it in the database?

How well do ongoing sales do
They can do relatively well as long as new inventory is actually coming in.
Do you just go to a random library and ask if they’re selling books?
Most book sales are on the weekend here 👍
There are a few different sites and apps that list them, but you can absolutely walk in and ask!
