He and McDaniels are my favorite young defenders right now. Deni’s active hands might give home the edge though. Love how fundamental he is. As a Pistons fan, I’m constantly watching these guys throw out their shoulders and jump at every pump fake throw their way.
Super disciplined on ball, always gets a solid contest and his size makes it extremely difficult for the offensive player to finish at the rim with him well positioned.

Im a wizards fan and Deni is not a great defender. He was a borderline great defender during the 2021/2022 season but in the 22/23 season he regressed mightily. Lots of his fans try to say he's an elite defender because he's absolutely dreadful at every single other aspect of basketball. We're now entering Deni's 4th year and I'm hoping this is the year he figures it out. This will be his make or break year. No Beal and no Porzingis... I am hoping for a big leap from Deni this coming season
