I did Brunswick Mountain on July 28th, 2023. It was a moment I will never forget. Standing at the highest point on the north shore. Did many other hikes in the summer, including the neighboring Lions and Unnecessary Mountain.
Wow, I find the group lol. My appreciation for everyone in the group. I was that old woman wearing white and hesitated to move forward. Without encouragement, I would of turn back. Thank you for including me in the video, so precious moment . What a great hike! Many thanks to all of you.
Old Woman???? You look way younger than me and I am 50....You look like you're on mid 30's. Anyway....You did really great...and so your daughter. Thanks for watching our video...and hope you can join our group too and be a full pledge Trooper!.😀❤🙏
Ohh wowwww....good for you...we are scheduled to do Mt. Slesse this Sunday.😀🙏We will be hiking Frosty Mountain for the Golden Larches Oct.3 Hope you can join us.😀
Experiences are like books. They both teach, but experiences are real ones. Great job troopers! You are now more than ready for via ferrata! We did Brunswick Mt in 2014, and the experience is still vivid in my memory. What a cinematography.
I've been wanting to climb this mountain after I've done the Tunnel bluffs. I guess it's the same trail, going up but you turn right at a junction. I'd love to film myself with my drone up there LOL, but seeing that exposed ridge though made me think twice.
Jim, how hard is the scramble to the summit? Is it okay to stop before that narrow ridge I see in this video (can you still get good views and a good photo from there)? I really want to get to the summit but it looks so scary.
Hi....if you are talking of the false summit, which is the most picturesque spot, there is only a few feet of sketchy ridge that you have to trek....but if you decide to go up to the real summit, there is also a part where you have to crawl on a very narrow ridge but only for 12 feet long, as you may have seen it on the first part of the video...after section, you should be fine.😀👍
So proud of you Leena....the quote at the end seemed to have been directed to you.😀Your indomitable "Will", made you conquer the Mighty Brunswick Beast.😀🙏❤
We started our hike around 6:30 .. but we tried to be at the parking at 6 AM or else you will not have a space for parking and you have to walk another 2 km down the road... so I suggest, you go there early as early as 6 AM. Goog luck and be safe🙏
Thanks for the advise! Planning to do this at the end of October as I will be visiting Vancouver. Do you think end of October would still be okay hiking Brunswick?
end of October is still ok S long as you start early...and make sure to bring head lamps in case of emergencies....it all depends how fast you are.....a regular paced hike will get you back down before sunset. It's about 7-8 hours of a hike.
How do you descend the mountain after you peak? Do you just go back the same way you came up? The reason I ask is because the peak ridge looks too narrow to pass the people still ascending.
Yes....you go back the same way you came up..but knly with your butt going down....Yes....there are narrow ridge that are exposed if you go to the summit.😀👍

I have done it and I will admit it is quite scary. Their is no celebration at the top with the fear of having to go down. So worth it though
