This lure is amazing! I slay bass and panfish all season with them. They seem expensive but they really last a long time. I like to cut them in half for rock bass. Thanks for turning us on to them.
I bought both the Nikko Craw and Nikko Hellgrammite at the same time. I have been catching really nice smallmouth on the craw on the Susquehanna River in PA. I have a pack of the Hellgrammites rigged up and ready to tie on. I haven't used them yet, I will probably use them on my next trip.

Awesome information! I ordered some Last Friday morning using your code. They arrived that afternoon! Local distributor brought them to my door! AWESOME service! Now get Nikko products in Cabela's / Bass Pro Shops, and Walmart would be nice! Nikko, you also need your own line of matching jigs/hooks for your baits, I have a terrible time finding light enough jigs! You need to do what TRD does and sell complete packages with hooks/jigs. Come on guys, get on it :)
I went out in a small river in Missouri and caught a 4 pound smallmouth and on the next cast caught a 5 pound largemouth. That along with many other fish. I’m hooked on the hellgrammite and will be stocking up with more. Great lure!
Nikko, like all bait companies, should be hitting the ground running this year. With the pandemic, you could not keep bait or gear in stock. Every place I went last summer, was out of merchandise. Whether is was Wal Mart, Dick's, Cabela's or Bass Pro, they did not have things available. Keep up the great videos and you are fortunate to have Nikko on your side. Go for it, fish on!

They do have them on their website. Just search pack and they'll pull up. IMO I'd rather just pick my own. Because their packs have a peculiar selection...an octopus in them. Never seen an octopus in a Texas lake but ok. Hellgrammite, craw, leech and Zaza worm will do for this creek lurker lol. Happy casting.

I used to ONLY use LIVE hellgramites until I saw John use them in his videos so I gave them a try. I have completely switched from live hellgramites to the Nikko hellgramites. I absolutely love them. Hands down the best soft plastic hellgramites on the market today.

i just found your channel last week. about 10yrs ago i found soft plastic hellgrammite at a boat show. they're killers for trout and smallies in Ohio rivers. i've repaired them so many times.. they're half crazy glue...lol now i can get more.
I saw you using these and your success and had to order some on Amazon. Having great luck with them in Oregon. Caught a bunch of smallies in Prineville reservoir last August while camping there. Great recommendation. Oh... I also lived 5 years in Japan. 🇯🇵

I have to say I really liked the fact that Nikko has gone the extra mile to produce what surely seems to be as the top of the line soft plastics available. I can also get on board with their candidness about the longevity of the product.. People should check out Nikko products page. The baits are both biodegradable and non toxic. Plus they won't harm a fish if they actually manage to eat a bait.

I live in southwest Virginia in Appalachian mountains and love the hellgrammite. They are durable. Z-man is the only other craw I've tried that it's claws don't come off.
I guess I've taken for granted how much work goes into making a lure. The hellgrammite seems like such a simple lure. Couldn't believe how long they spent developing and testing it.
I can tell yal both have alot of love for those baits and there's no bullcrap involved. I need to pick up a couple of packs of helgramites and some of those weedless jigheads from zman. 👊👍

After watching one of your videos this past weekend I decided to us a ZMan Brush Hog on a Lifted Jig (its a ned head with a EWG Hook attached) and was able to catch my first river smallie. I also caught a nice little spotted bass. I have a Native Slayer Max and I mostly fish lakes and ponds. I definitely want to get into creek fishing more. If your ever near Bowling Green lets fish!
need a video on how to get these threaded fully onto a ned head as they dont do like normal plastics cant get them over the lead spike what do you use to lube with to do it?

I want to pick up a nikko hellgrammite. I enjoy your channel. Before watching you I had never heard of peacock bass, skipjacks, and some of those other fish you catch. I've only caught carp, catfish, large and small mouth bass, walleye, and bluegill. My son caught a muskie and trout plus all the others I mentioned. I haven't caught a trout yet and not sure I can handle a muskie! The carp was pretty fiesty, though.

The Nikko Hellgrammite is the best new bait I have added to my arsenal in over a decade and I have had two separate occasions recently when the fish didn't want anything else. The hellgrammite caught fish both times. Nuff said.
I've been fishing with hellgrammites since I was a kid. My Dad and I would catch crayfish and hellgrammites by the dozens every time we would go fish a local creek I grew up on. My Dad always said, "crayfish are good, but a hellgrammite is a bass's filet mignon!". I wish he was still alive to see these Nikko baits. They are closest artificial to the real thing and man do they catch the fish.

Nice bait but won’t slide up on a standard jig head lead shoulder. Will only work on a hook shank with a wire keeper
