Heroes 3 Strategy: The basics you need to know before starting an online game

This video covers the basic rules that are used for online play in Heroes 3. You need to be aware of these rules before you start playing online.
This video is mainly for new players, or players who have not played online yet. It covers things like what standard restarts are, how trading for towns and color works, the timer, and other basics.

i will never play game online but i have to admit that this video shows how much you care about heroes and other players. i did some starcraft or other games long time ago. but nobody cared or let me know any of this specific things what online game involve. everybody who are watching should give you "thanks" because a lot of people do not do this to new comers to games in general.

Hearing that there were no resources for Starcraft newbies in particular is really odd to me. Forums and videos explaining the basics from online room rules and in-game chat manners to unit specifics and matchup streategy has been discussed and formalized into guides since early 2000s, right after the game was originally released. I fear you might have put zero effort into looking to things.

@@Gnorconpro you are brave to say this. country where i grow up was country without pcs if you wanted to play starcraft or any game you was need to know somebody with computer or went to internet coffee and pay money. still you played just lan and till 2004 was not common at all to play sc at battlenet but rather crack of version of game which was basically breaching copyrights. also there were some magazines about games reviews and that is it. also if somebody has some sources of info and options that person will at that time never help you to get it or ease your life. one will take advantage of the situation you are in. that how is basically still going in my country in many small cities in many aspect. gaming was underground... not well sourced. english not a everyday skill of average kid.

​@@petervlcko4858 So you complain that other games do not have help communities like HoMM3 does, yet you fully acknowledge they already existed in the past and they still do to this day. Not having internet access and/or not knowing the language the guides were in does not mean they were not available.
Now, things have changed even for the better for almost all gaming communities that still are active. Internet access and knowledge of English has greatly improved GLOBALLY, so again, your statement of other gaming communities somehow not "caring or letting you know of these specific things" to this day is false.
Perhaps you meant that in your own personal experience you never received any help in the past.. which is unfortunate, but not representative of any multiplayer community at large.

How do simultaneous turns work in HotA? After starting a game room this option is available, but as soon a friend joins, it switches to "not available/not active".

When you click "Begin" it will give you a box where you need to tick "simultaneous turns" and type in until what turn you want them to last. Or you can just click on "more options" to see this.
