In 2016 and 2017 years I quite enjoyed using this phone. This phone was so incredible, the phone had awesome features. However before I took this phone my Sister used it only 3 years she even praised and love this phone..
Bought one brand new from Samsung dealer, back in 2015, the I8200 the screen has Gorilla corner glass, still working today after three battery replacements, amazing device.
Loved my s3 mini ❤️, it still works now! I like the size of it, i wonder why Samsung don't make mini versions of the latest phones? I would definitely get one!

Great video! I see that I'm not the only one who still uses my Galaxy S3 Mini 😁 In my case I use Omni ROM 5.1.1 without google services (because they use 300MB of RAM) and I can run games too! Candy crush soda Clash Royale (becomes more and more slow but still playable in 2024) Hill Climb Racing 2 (with random crashes because of RAM overload) Asphalt Nitro Rider (too slow) and a 2018 version of Discord still work in 2024 on this phone :D
I have mine still working with a new battery and Android 7.1.2 ROM, it works ok with whats app business- mainly what it is used for. I wish they make new tiny phones like this!☺
This was my first smartphone coming from an old Nokia. I still have it and it almost looks brand new but the battery is not in good shape anymore. Even got the box with manuals and the receipt....cost 200$ at the beginning of 2013

That phone has different internals, so the Roms for the old model are not compatible. You should look up Roms for that model, maybe you can find something.

No, that was Samsung's lame excuse. Because they would even go on to launch phones with worse specs than the Galaxy S3 mini with that version, to give you an example, the Galaxy ace 4 came out with Android 4.4 and only had 512mb of ram.
but the Standard Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Note1 have 1gb of ram. if Samsung said the kitkat recuires a minimum of 2gb of RAM but then they ship a phone with that version that doesnt meet the minimum system recuirement, why just not update the standard Galaxy S3 to it. i have an S5 port on my S3 and works without problems. the rom is based on the S3 4G firmware but has the S5 UI on top of it. i think they shoud have shiped that Galaxy Ace with Android 4.3 jellybean for an optimal user experience

For the same reason apple doesn't make small phones anymore. They just don't sell as well as big phones.
