i remember being in middle school and being allowed to stay up to watch this on HBO because my mom wanted me to hear what kind of message Ellen gave in this show! It was very powerful to me at the time.
SethBlizzard the "interpretative dance" part was and still is, my absolute favorite. I remember showing it to my Mom, her geeking out, & us hugging it out. Ellen is so fn amazing.
Not sure if you guys gives a damn but if you guys are bored like me atm you can stream all of the new movies on InstaFlixxer. Been watching with my gf for the last few months =)
I love you for putting this up. Now my bro and I quote her all the time, and my parents have no idea what we're talking about. Good bonding time, thanks for that. :P
I am not a lesbian but so glad she came out.Not that it is anybody's business but why would any homosexual person live in secrecy.I think she is wonderful and funny.Thank You.:-.))
You've gotta love getting a standing ovation before you even say a word! Ellen, I love you. As for you coming out, good for you! I wish you (and Portia) every happiness.
Thank you, Ellen. I recently came out and while everyone around me has been very supportive, being in the closet for so long put me in a dark place mentally, and that's what I've been fighting. Thanks for being an example, and reminding me that it will get better.
Wow, that dance got from really funny to really, really touching and meaningful. Pushed and pulled on, attacked from every side, trying to run away, breaking down... I think this "interpretive dance" actually WAS the best way to tell her story. This woman is amazing and strong and she deserves all my respect for making it through. Ellen, you are an idol - not just for gay people, but for everyone. A true Idol.
ellen is def one of the best in the bizz. sharp and witty, like ms. johnny on the spot!! great woman, very tatelented and gifted. we love you ellen degeneres!!
I just had another day of being depressed about my sexuality and what a mess it is and homophobia and all that... Then I watched this video. I can't tell you how much better I feel now. And even better: there's six more to go! What I want to say is thank you for uploading.
yeah...I'm so grateful for so many postings on TH-cam...but, why is it that so often I see only the date of the posting, and not the date of the airing of the clip?? Anyway, always so grateful for anything Ellen!
you are truly an inspiration to many people out there ellen :) keep on doing what you're doing! you're very strong! i watch you everyday after school :D
Seriously, most female stand-ups just don't cut it. Ellen however makes the standard for female stand-ups even higher than it is already! Amazing comedienne! :-D
I was also moved (and surprised!) by the "interpretive dance"... Only Ellen could be so creative! It may be just funny to some, but I suspect there are a lot of others who can actually relate to it. Bravo!!! :D
This was emotional even for me, the woman comes out which takes so much courage and to practically the whole world which takes even more courage and was practically black listed, which obviously is horrible and then she just came back full force and now she's better than ever. And we should all be so proud of her.
i remember being in middle school and being allowed to stay up to watch this on HBO because my mom wanted me to hear what kind of message Ellen gave in this show! It was very powerful to me at the time.

She is a great, and inspiring person and this is a wonderful production.

Ellen is one of my heroes. I'm bisexual and it's because of her that I can come out and say it. Thank God for Ellen DeGeneres.
