Thank you really good tutorial, I have recently purchased a Shamanic Flute, I am really struggling with the low notes which seem quite quiet compared with the higher notes, The low notes screech and uncontrolable, I know it is my technique ..just wish I could find it.. Thanks again
Check out "BlueBearFlutes" on you tube. He has some awesome troubleshooting videos which explains well. He talks a little too much but he's experienced. I love this video, made me smile lol

Either hand is Ok, but other wind instruments, such as the recorder and clarinet, place the left hand of top, so to stay consistent, left is on top. That being said, if you’re only playing the NAF, it doesn’t matter.
To be more specific,, it is the F# in Cedar (the flutes are offered in different wood types.. Cedar is the best sounding *in my opinion*, it gives a clean, crisp, bright sound. I have this exact flute, but its a double flute (drone). High Spirits is the manufacturer

its a high A# or a A minor and definitely not a G as others have mentioned. G has a nice mellow sound and definitely not a F# .
