Thank you for this. It was really helpful, to get to hear each note range on Native American flutes, at one time. You're is the first I've found to do this.
I have an AT flute. I love it. I will never ever sell it. Thank you for doing such a heart felt job creating it. The mountains love your flute you created.
I just bought an F# stellar flute off Amazon. I love it and I wanted to explore more keys and/or different flutes. That low C sounds absolutely amazing.
The aesthetic aspects of your instruments are equal in sound and visual appeal. It’s always a pleasure to see a genuine master’s work. Thanks for the demonstration.
I have two of your Ancient Territories flutes. An "A" and a "low E" which I bought from you more than a year ago, I play them both regularly and I have many hours of play on them. Both still sound amazingly perfect. When we sit down at home it's the low-E flute I go for. Just playing this sweet beauty puts me into a meditative state. And it's the one everyone I know requests me to play. Wonderful craftsmanship, beautiful design, sounds and colors. Thank you
This is hands down the best flute presentation I have ever seen. Synchronistically perfect; as I had purchased your low-e flute a few months ago and only today found you u-tube video. There is so much love from the low-e flutes sound; everyone who hears it is singing it's praise. Truly amazed thank you John.
Thankyou very helpful. I’ve just bought a D flute and found it a challenge, the first few days to get right sound. ( mistake l requested a A to sales person and wearing a mask, they ordered me a D / the mask muffled my request ). I play violin, piano, guitar all at beginners 1 & 2 stages, over past 12 years, having attended beginners courses. The flute l’m finding l bliss out on the lower notes ( also done yoga for 50years ). So it’s both therapeutic as well as meditative. Wish l’d been introduced to your lovely flute keys earlier. So grateful for your video. Love the “down the well” comment. So sending you and all your viewers, much love, from a yogini down a well. 🌈😘🙏☺️👌
I have an A, an F# and a low C. Started with the low C because it resonated with me. A challenge to play but do-able. My flutes were made others. Your flutes are gorgeous.
Thank you for the information. Beautiful looking flutes. Lovely, calming presentation. Nice to hear the 'chooks' in the background too. Greetings from Queensland, Australia.
Thank you for showinf me the differences in sounds of the different keys. My husband prchased me a beautiful flute from a man that makes them in Arizone wirh inlaid turquoise and made from burough wood from south american, I had not idea what key it was till today. Thanks so much.
Hi John, so nice to meet you, all be it on the internet. I have one of your unbeautifully crafted flutes in F#. I bought it in Sedona in 2009. I recognised your arrow brand. I live in London and ply the flute for people living with dementia at a care home, it seems to bring some peace.
Hi John,,,,, beautiful presentation on these flute, especially for a novice like me who is searching for answers... greatly appreciated from Lismore NSW Australia.
Thank you so much! I loved the explanation on the tones that resonate the different chakras. The deeper tones are my favorites. I am new to this, but I have some little musical experience (piano), yet I am still not sure what native flute I should buy.
I have been playing for 5 years? and the Tom Haggerty andthe John stillwell are the best. Still wells flutes never stop working even in the wind and they can be used as a weapon. They of hard wood and good quality.
Thank you for sharing! Excellent informative video! My flute is in Eb and I love it, but I would like to find a flute in a key more favorable to play with other musicians.
Thanks for sharing! Very informative! Would it be possible for you to post the woods on each of those flutes (or at least the G, F, E, Eb, the others I can guess by the grain)?
Thank you for this video. First time I heard the native American Flute was in the Movie "Windtalker." With Nicolas Cage. The indian Actor was suppose to be a Navarro Indian. I fell in love. Would you know wich tone or key that Flute sound is? I leave in a very tight budget. I am going to check your Flutes. Thanks a lot for your video.
How do you dry out the SAC after playing? I've made some wooden flutes (not nearly as nice as yours) with removable mouthpieces and the SAC is really saturated after playing, so I can easily wipe it out with a paper towel. Thanks.
I recently bought an A flute. Surprisingly, I have managed to make sounds that are close to music after only a week or two! I love it. What would you recommend for my next flute?
JOHN, HAVE A VERY WELL KNOWN FRIEND WHO PLAYS AND TEACHESPLAYING THE DIDGEROO HE USES TO GIVE HEALING TO VARIOUS PART OF THE HUMAN BODY (form of reiki healing)
Awesome video, I think you are the only one that actually explains the flutes high to low. But your camera person needs to back up so they can get you and the flutes in the picture. Also use a tripod, too much movement.
