Wow. I thought the rules for On Mars was intimidating. My brain hurts. Rated a 4.0 in weight on BGG and each solo playthrough I’ve seen is 3 hours long. Brain hurt more.
It’s one of those games that, once it’s learned, played and returned to the shelf, may never come back out again because the learn and teach are so intense. I’m sure I’ll love it once I reach “cognitive ease” with it.

It’s mainly 3 hours because we’re live and chatting a bit, it’s definitely on the heavier side but On Mars was harder for me

I just played this solo and, even with it being a first game and checking a couple of rules, I played it in a little over an hour.
