Last April, my boss praised my "phenomenal performance" (his words) and gave me a huge raise. A month later I was fired and told that it was because the company doesn't have enough opportunities for me to grow in my role. I worked in this company for 6 years, during which I got promoted 4 times. I conceptualized their award-winning product. There is really no point in worrying if you're good enough. It really makes no difference when they want you out. 🤷♀️
yes i worked for 2 years as a lead developer and they were always happy with my work, unfortunately there funding ran out 😂😂 so yes worrying about work and performance at work didn't really mattered in the end
There may be dirty corporate politics linked with your firing without any of your fault. May be your salary was perceived as high after your huge raise. Find out facts.
I was the best performer at this international company, every week I was given performer of the week, all of a sudden one day they decided to put me on pip, cause the manager didn't like me.
"I don't feel part of the team. Also people don't talk to me a lot, so I've started keeping away from them." This feels so personal, and so deep. As an Introverted person, my best and only friend told me that, people want to talk to you, but they don't cuz you don't talk to them and stay in your own world. Maybe I just needed to hear the exact same thing from You tube🙃
Looking for this 2 years ago specially - when joined as Fresher in IT Each dialogue was expressing our mental dillema plz keep bringing more content like this
This video is really great . The way you people present the whole theme of the topic in a way of conversation with a character along with his background story to make it relatable and rightly giving the advice for the frequently asked questions. Though I am not working yet but even I also feel I always lack something that I haven't achieved, though there will be people around me telling you have achieved great but yet it's just my inner feeling that I don't feel satisfied enough with my result of any aspects in life .
This guy is already an overachiever. That’s why you are able to answer back all his self doubts. Most MNC people don’t work in Microsoft just after campus and other factors he mentioned is not for average IT employees.
One worrying trend i see among young people is the glamorisation of struggling. Be it the struggle in tough exams or getting a job or getting a promotion. Why should it be that inspite of me being deserving / intelligent I have to always scratch and claw and prove myself again and again? Why do people glamourise that inspite of failing 5 times some person finally cleared UPSC ? Why cant the mindset of our country change and systems improved so that people are not treated unjustly and get what they deserve ? Do you ever hear about the “STRUGGLES” of students and employees in other countries abroad ?
It's because it's really is a great thing that even after failing so many times one did not give up on their dream yes you are right people should not glamorise this and just because of this people have made money as such businesses out of those so called failed aspirants
@User-died1234 Struggling is not bad. But the struggle needs to be sensible. For example in IIMs people dont get an interview in top colleges even after scoring 99th percentile. Same people go abroad and easily get admission to USA universities that are more prestigious
@ajraol9032 percentile and percentage is diff bro n yeah it's a harsh reality because of our population and the govt is not doing anything to improve this and moreover people have accepted this fact
Every statement made by the guy was totally relatable. Thats exactly keeps running in my mind when i work at my office. The video was like the solution to my problems at the right hour😅
what a video❤❤❤. Same feeling i get 1 year ago, but there was no one there to tell me these things but eventually started not caring about these things and just going with the flow. Perceiving things how it comes in my way not how I expected.
Okay so, let's suppose that I don't care about these things anymore and starts enjoying my life, but then what about my responsibilities! What about my mental health when society will start treating me differently when I am not an employee of a big MNC anymore ? In this era even your partner is with you because you are adding some value to their life. So IF ANYONE IS STARTING FROM SCRATCH, JUST NORMALIZE THESE THOUGHTS AND TRY TO GIVE YOUR 100%, But not to make your manager happy or your company happy. Goal should be self satisfaction by fulfilling those ambitions.
You are the eternal, all blissful SOUL my friend! Krishna's love for you is more than what you can imagine.. No matter you think of yourselves.. Well made video btw
This is exactly what I've been fearing too since some time now. Thank you so much for this video!! Feels like you heard my mind and decided to make this, haha.
I usually never do comment on youtube video. This is the rarest comment at my whole life. Please Please Please Make similar kind of series its really helpful. Their are no one who guides in such a professional way. We need a lot of guidance on professional etiquate, self doubts. Please
This was my exact situation being in the Top Batch Of A Big Academy (JEE ADVANCED BATCH) and getting laid off is like getting shuffled into Lower Batches!!
Thank you Full Disclosure, was going through the same situation, but this video really helped me rethink about the whole thing nd change my perspective.
Such an inspiring session! It's amazing how Lavina Kamat uplifted the employee's confidence. Could you please create a similar video focusing on students? Many of us struggle with self-doubt and could really use some guidance and mentorship like this. Thank you!"
Good video. peeps are talking only about IT guys .. please look at the issues of other streams. Condition of people in commerce stream especially Non CA or Non T1 college MBAs is even worse. They are not even getting paid that they are supposed to. They don't have different companies to switch and upskill much cuz, if they upskill themselves they will almost become overqualified for the job... Please make a video on this...
I have an employee who is genuinely wasting resources and contributing sh!t to the company. I can’t fire him because of the financial crisis he would face. I’m searching for a job for him so he can quit safely.
The *promotion* was halted by several individuals, wasting a year; it will now take place in *January 2025*. Making *money is what brings status* is the *mantra for 2025*. I improved *myself and multitasking knowledge* during this *tough time*, and today I am better than them.

It's because the generations of the past or China struggled more than you can imagine.

Dhirubhai Ambani was not in an MNC but still went ahead in life. Success via MNC is one of the ways to go ahead, and not the only way.

You are a good emplyer, thank you. You should maybe try to advice and tell him what he is doing wrong, a warning, and see if he can improve.
