Thank you so much! Yeah I did have a plan of attack, I'm honestly surprised it was possible to be so efficient! It did take me many, many tries to get right, for both Spargus and Haven City. AND, because apparently I didn't think this was hard enough, I also did the runs entirely through the day, but only JUST! I start at dawn and it ends at dusk!

Thank you for noticing I did that! Was able to pull it off thanks to the Mission Select to quickly jump to specific moments of the game. Only play I had to tweak it a little was the Temple area!
I used this guide last year to collect them all only to get the end and be missing 4. Finally had the motivation to come back and find the missing ones. I missed two in spargus and 2 in haven. Thx a lot for the guide!!

Definitely a few I forgot about and missed. Unfortunately it seems I've found all of them now and am still 9 short, I have silver on wave concussor course, and every other challenge gold. I distinctly remember not seeing it give me any orbs for the timed orb drop on the grind rail in harbor area, I got there late, and the gold on the shorter racetrack didnt give me any either, that accounts for all nine I'm missing.. I guess another playthrough is at hand. Lol my ps4 platinum run went from being a day with the orb glitch, to several days when I had time to grind out challenges and find the remaining ones. I still went ahead and got em all despite thinking I was shorted several times. Now it's looking like over a week maybe even two. Just do to the time I'll have, and what I want to do with it.
To make the jump at 26:42, jump and then hold R1 and forward to roll forward further in the air. I tried and you can't make it to the ledge with just a normal jump.
Those would be Trick Jumps! To do those, jump into the air and then press L1 and a direction on the analog stick. I use up because when you do that move, Jak jumps right off the Jet-Board and higher into the air, making it much easier to grab some of the Orbs on the cables!

@@elfinstun5388 Yeah, Jak 2 as well. The NYFE races gave me some trouble too. It takes a lot of patience but practice makes perfect. Now, the races are some of my favourite missions. Sometimes, I go back to beat my best times.
You can but you'll have to enter it using the same door as the first time around, which you can't do until you access the Ruined Stadium just before the end of the game. The other two sewer sections are a bit weird, because the exit of Sewer 3 is the entrance of Sewer 2. What that means is that if you exit Sewer 3, then turn around and go back in, you'll enter Sewer 2! Totally unintuitive.

You can! All the Orbs in the central chamber can be accessible all at once if you use Light Flight to fly across the three points of the room. The Mission names I added to let you know the earliest point you can collect them.
@@FranzMazz11 When you visited the Temple for the third time, you took a different path while you were fighting the Dark Makers by using that spinning projectile Dark Jak move to break a side wall.
You can, you have to go all the way back to its original entrance in the abandoned part of the city (which you can't do until you have to go back there at the end of the game).
This is a H of a lot easier with invulnerability and infinite ammo! Walk right through electric walls, dont have to worry about being knocked off the hoverboard, can spray endless needles.... Just dont save over your old game if you go hero mode. You loose all your orbs. I mean, im just guessing. I wouldnt know.....
Take the Dune Hopper out to the Temple and head inside. Head to the room with the swing poles from your first visit and look for the slightly elevated doorway on the left side: this will take you down the path from your third visit and back to the Oracle Room!

Passage to Port SHOULD be the airlock in the scorpion-infested area you first arrived in. It is not the airlock you used after beating the Precursor Robot boss, it'll be just a bit North of that past a canal.

@@A25Phoenix There are ways to glitch some of the Orb Hunts I believe, and maybe a debug mode, but normally yes, you'd need to get Gold on everything. The hardest will be the PacMan Daxter minigame (hold X to move faster!) and the Wave Concussor gun range challenge.

I did everything and now I missing 13 orbs. I read on reddit that this patch has a glitch about the wasteland race...apperently it doesn't give you the orbs for silver and gold. I didn't hear the sound when I completed so I think it's possible this happened to you and also me.

597/600 orbs sounds scary, because it MIGHT be that your game glitched and you couldn't get 3 orbs after beating some kind of challenge (the two races in the desert immediately come to my mind, those on PS4 are glitched and sometimes they do not give you any orbs). I hope that was not the case for you.

@@darlentenstrife5929 I think what you're missing is that when grinding, you can push the left stick forward to give Jak some forward momentum, which is what allows him to grind uphill. If you're falling off very quickly, you may not be pressing Square to initiate a grind.
@@darlentenstrife5929 That's bizarre then, I honestly can't think of anything outside of balancing, but you said you're pushing forward. The only other solution is that you use the Light Flight glitch to get up there: there's where you quickly use the Light Shield, which resets the Flight descent. If you flap then shield with the right timing, you can go practically anywhere.

You can still get to the central chamber via the other routes of the Temple. From there, use Light Flight!

That's one of the tricks! I think it's up on the left stick, it gives you that little bit of extra height to ensure you make the jump.

The game is rigged. Anytime you go on the pipe loop in the dessert town it either forces you turn the board around or forces you off.
Which pipe loop are you referring to?

The only other solution is that you use the Light Flight glitch to get up there: there's where you quickly use the Light Shield, which resets the Flight descent. If you flap then shield with the right timing, you can go practically anywhere.
These might be the worst collectibles in gaming history. Mixed with the atrocious controls this game is an actual nightmare
