Crown Zenith is arguably one of the greatest Pokemon Sets ever to be released and has a lot of love. It was an incredibly hyped set with some amazing cards, and we now see a small window of opportunity available.
Despite its popularity, Crown Zenith remains surprisingly affordable. Could this be one of the last chances to acquire this set at such a reasonable price?

I agree crown zenith artwork is degrees above evolving skies. Not to mention when you have these cards in your hand, they pop so much more than the screenshot you listed. Everytime I buy crown though I just want to open it lol.
My local Walmart(s) have a few of the ETBs periodically on the shelf for like $50. Not bad. I pulled an Arceus V Star on the 6th pack. Bought several ETBs to stow away in the event these take off in the years to come! Unreal pull rates
As someone who just got back into Pokemon TCG and I have 151, Temporal Forces and CZ as the three sets I'm collecting. I'm really hoping it doesn't go crazy and get really popular. At the moment, it's very easy to find online to buy and at reasonable prices. If those prices spike and availability collapses, I'll be gutted. It's already hard to get 151.

Right?! If Hidden Fates can do what it did, Crown can at least do the same. It’s such a better set too. Top chase isn’t as valuable but it’s more fun to open and the art is leagues better.
Evolutions as well. Stayed $98 a box for 3.5 years.
I love opening Crown Zenith not so much that i wanna get the masterset but, certaintly one of my favourites to open.

Those gold cards in CZ are some of the best art pieces in Pokemon. I Love Legends:Arceus, the game they are tied to. arguably one of the best Pokémon games to date 🙌🔥

Reminds me of call of legends with how many legendaries there are. I just bought some ETBs under $40 each at their record low.. but with how much product is out there due to the massive reprint, I’m hopeful they don’t take too long to hit the $70 range again and continue to climb from there. I’m shocked that you can still get them for around $40 at the moment! The alt arts are insane in this set
The only issue with Crown Zenith I have is which products to invest in. With no booster boxes as it's a special holiday set, every product is so bulky and takes up so much room.
The best option would probably be the ETB but without any booster bundles here in the UK, i'm reluctant to pick more of this set up. The Tins are also clunky and hard to store.
Many in the comments have mentioned how much of this set is printed as well which means it's a long hold before we see any major gains in my opinion.
Have you ever considered burying underground?
I have been picking up booster bundles from Walmart for about 28USD per box. Still not booster box level of storage efficiency but it’s not far off 🙂 I think it’s better than storing heavy ETBs. Price per pack is OK. Not best but not bad.

Giratina Gold VSTAR is the baby Tina Alt Art and the second best Giratina in SWSH. Some Influencer is gonna say how great it is and its will got to $150-$175 just like the Umbreon V alt did which is the baby Moonbreon.
The time to invest was last year during the reprint. If you’re barely investing now you already missed lower entry points and are jumping in during hype which is dangerous. Just my opinion. I see a lot of these singles dropping and product not dropping but being stagnant for a bit soon.
I still think anything retail or below is fine. CZ can still be snatched for a decent price!

Probably a great time to grab some! With the massive overprinting, I highly doubt they’ll dip much lower. I could see them going up once stock gets depleted. I love that everything in CZ is totally affordable right now.
singles suffer from inflation while sealed product suffers from supply shock due to players and gamblers opening them and burning the circulation

Couldn't agree more... CZ is a top, top set, and better than Evolving Skies in so many ways. Besides 151, Crown Zenith is my priority Master Set to collect. It's so nice for collectors like me that the cards are still affordable. I hope I can finish it before the prices start to pop!!!

The gold cards are a perfect send off and time capsule for the yellow boarder era and Ash leaving the anime. This set will be legendary

Hmm. In terms of opening and enjoying the set, cannot agree more. In terms of investing and betting on which set goes up the most, I disagree. Value of these cards are a mix of how desired the card is and how difficult it is to pull it. It is why the Moonbreon and Giratina are so valuable-- both are hard to pull and both are fan favorites. It is why Blaziken Vmax is so valuable-- it is crazy difficult to pull that card.
The Crown Zenith cards have better pull rates. That's going to hurt the value in the long term. The Lost Origin Giratina has a PSA 9 + 10 pop of 7581 while the Crown Zenith Giratina has a PSA 9 + 10 pop of 8412, and this is considering that there is still a ton of Crown Zenith in stock vs Lost Origin is slowly dwindling.
This is why im hesitant on CZ, seems pull rates are much essier
I have a complete crown zenith set and a bunch of crown zenith etbs sealed. I’m a huge fan.

It has some of the best artwork with great hit rates. But the great hit rates will always make singles cheaper and will never have the big chase like giratina lost origin or moonbreon. Good hit rates is a double edged sword. But it is a great product and will do well over all
@@exeggcutebenedict very true. But , if a majority of the galarian gallery has like 40 cards that are 20 dollars plus, that adds up. The sheer amount of amazing art work makes it all worth it, rather than a set with a smaller amount of more valuable cards

Nothing in scarlet & violet era has even come close to the amount of artwork that swsh zenith put out. Definitely grabbing another case when feasible. Buying up 10s rn of all my favorite singles as well
Yup. It truly is the greatest set of all time imo.
I think it´s because they printed it en mass and released it in multiple waves over a long period of time, so people just got kinda used to the set being around. Looking back in history of the TCG (like generations for example) this happens pretty much all the time, (even though generations´ situation was way worse imo), but there will come a time when there is truly nothing out there any more, and that´s when it will explode(look at Chilling Reign for a recent-ish example for instance), TL;DR Buy cheap now if you can afford it and hold it for the mid-long term and watch it (potentially) explode in the future, or you will most likely miss your chance.
I've opened so much crown zenith and have not recived a single alt art 😢😢😢, I just gave up opening and spending thousands on sealed crown zenith. I just started buying the alt art chase singles this month 😢

Got an ETB to get back into the hobby. Pulled an Arceus V and the Suicune GG card. My next ETB arrives today 🤣🤣
CZ is the sleeping giant of SWSH and I don’t think anyone disagrees haha. It is the best art set in existence and it’s not even close! Severely overprinted, but people will want to open this set for many years to come. Curious to see if the singles ever recover but I think the sealed stuff is gonna go insane in the future.

@@voydkidThe huge majority of collectors disagree. Very few people dislike CZ. If you think it’ll brick then you don’t know the market. When supply dries up it’ll be one of the most desirable and expensive specialty sets.
