Yanlao was very intelligent with machines and technology for his age. In his hometown, the materials and parts for his creations came from those of his ancestors from long ago, ancient artifacts worth protecting, yet no one paid attention or made use of them. Yanlao was the opposite. He saw great potential that the parts can be recycled and reused to make something else, such as weapons, security, and robots big and small. Even Eigong was impressed by his knowledge, earning him the title of the Council's inventor of weaponry. His warehouse grew, with his precious creations and treasures to stay secured. And he made sure it stayed that way for as long the Sols' reign existed. But his health deteriorated day by day on his work. The bones became fragile, and his body began to weaken to the brink of exhaustion. But he still kept going, not caring if his age got up to him. He had wealth, power and knowledge, as long as no one dared to enter. If one did, he would lecture them and possibly spend hours non stop talking. They say to respect your elders, but this one may not be easy to tolerate. Despite his machinery, he isn't difficult to defeat with a single hacking against his own weapons. Perhaps that's what made him fall easily. His body now lays in the soil....where his existence comes to an end.
I actually noticed the wiki used my comments on each Sol's lore for filling in the details. Ji, Jiequan, Kuafu , and Yanlao, barely had any info about them until afterwards. I am grateful my information was deemed useful. However, next time if people want to use my info for help, I would like to be asked for my permission first, or be mentioned by them. Otherwise, it sounds like they committed plagiarism. But thank you everyone for supporting my stories about each of the Sols. It took me a lot of time to read and analyze their tales one by one. I hope they will be useful!!!😁
I've just realized that Yanlao can be considered a mirror boss not towards Yi, but to US. He sits on his gaming chair controlling the Sky Rending Claw that's fighting Yi, who in turn is controlled by the player. He's also positioned in a way that he's directly facing towards us and not Yi himself, and who's to say that there isn't another big screen on the wall he's facing (behind "us"), which explains how and when he wants to attack Yi. I might just be overanalyzing, though.
How the bosses are designed resemble the design philosophy of the demigod bosses of elden ring as they both are seemingly based on a boss having a heroic trait that twisted them both mentally and physically.
He doesn't call especifically after this fight, you have to acquire all the first three Sol seals of the starting area (Kuafu, Goumang and Yanlao seals)
Have you unlocked the unbounded counter? If so, you could continue exploring the great hall of the factory until you find a turret that shoots crimson bullets. destroying it with your counter will reveal an elevator
So there are no hp upgrade in this game?
there is you get it from finding poisonous items
Yup, there is. You can give poison to Shennong and in exchange he'll brew wine for you that increases your health
@@KaitoMajima What is the inventory description for Yanlao's seal?

This is a criminally underrated comment, well done!

This fight was pretty fun! Controlling Yi from the perspective of Yanlao's screen was a really fun touch.

yanlao's theme is kinda song that u will hear in a nightclub 💀
The last memory shard depicts the Sol's goal. I don't understand what Yanlao's goal was.
To invent, reuse, and preserve
Just beat him and didnt know that we can bait the shot to the robot itself
Jiequan never called after this Fight. How do I trigger him?

@@KaitoMajima thx!
In this boss context, would anyone understand if i say, "turtles in time and shredder"
Easiest boss in the game tbh. Even if you include the minibosses.
Can you tell me where to go after u escape the prison ? Nice fght tho !
