Thanks for sharing your adventures with us. Again, awesome drone footage. Sorry about one of Daisy’s shrek ears (side mirror) being destroyed. Glad you replaced with a new and improved one. Dang, those AirTags sure do work. Hope DeNiro is all better.
Finally catching up with our fave channels after our adventures! Thanks for taking us on holiday with you! What a juxtaposition with the snow! We love Dunfermline, such a nice town.
I really like Fife. Never been to your town. I do like Dunfermlime. We had some friends who lived above a chippy there. It’s where I got my first taste of haggis.
Methil isn’t really on the visitor agenda usually, but when it’s up against places like Dunfermline and St Andrews that’s probably not hard to explain :)
I'm happy to see archaeology anytime, anywhere, especially if you can say a little bit about it. I'm glad you looked up info about the sites in Crete. That Roman fountain was quite pretty. Aww, DeNiro in the snow is too cute. How often do you get snow?
Geez I Live in Edinburgh Now But I Was Raised in Methil When i was a kid then i moved over here to Edinburgh in 2005 Its Changed a Lot i Still love Me Place Of Birth in 1955 Love it ty For Bringing back memories
Lots of history in one video! The churches here in Cyprus also have red roofs (as you probably know) and the grave stones have photos on them. Here too they bury family on top of each other if possible. Awww DeNiro in the snow! Bless him 🐾🥰
It was interesting trying to find all the history in the area. If we were trying to find two for one drinks offers we could have made the episode much easier :)
Watching in Canada - I got all excited when you said you were going to the cemetery and then I realized my grandparents are actually in Scoonie Cemetery in Leven, and not it Methil (odd as they lived in Methil). Now I have to go looking for where in Methil they lived.
We’ve just been to Scoonie :) A bright but chilly visit to Scoonie Cemetery in Leven #scotland #graveyard #cemetery #fife th-cam.com/video/fxYuXkoRXaU/w-d-xo.html
I am 62 and come from Methilhill I spent a lot of time at my Grandparents in Lower Methil. There was still 13 docks at the time and we loved exploring the old warehouses. I liked your video but you never mentioned East Fife or the old and new Bayview. You could’ve added a lot more mate.
You lament that Methil is not a place of beauty. On the other side of the coin, places of beauty and interest also have loads of traffic and tourist, and you are free from those things.
8:39 My highschool German is too rusty. First line might be: Here lies(rests) in God. Google Translate for the rest: "HERMANN BRASSEIT A GERMAN SAILOR FD. F. D. KONCSBERO + 30 XII.1927 IN (Methil) BE FAITHFUL UNTIL DEATH AND I WILL GIVE YOU THE CROWN OF ETERNAL LIFE." I'll leave in Google's shouting of the translation.
Snow zoomies look like good fun although I was a bit worried when DeNiro disappeared off into the distance!
We had every confidence he’d come back… honestly.. never a doubt..

The AirTag was a lifesaver!! DeNiro is fine after his prawn cracker medication :)
Excellent episode! Thank you all very much for making and sharing this beautiful video! Be well, stay safe all.😊💜🥰
Thank you, and the same to you

@@scotlandonashoestring Pretty darn amazing! Feel so very lucky!
Neil is upstairs putting ep1 together as we speak!

We’ve been a bit hit and miss with snow the last couple of years. We usually only get a couple of decent dumps a year.
My doggy has the same coat as Dinero, it fits beautifully and always gets positive comments. She also loves zoomies in the park.
They’re great coats!! Very dashing.

We’re from Edinburgh but now living in Methil!
Crossford here 😊, lovely video.
As a Fifer from the Dunfermline area I found this strangely interesting. I moved abroad 44 years ago.
I think most places are interesting if you look closely enough :)
Enjoyed that and good you could replace that mirror for more adventures.
We had a bit of ❄️ too.
We had one day and since then it’s just rained. Prefer the snow.

@@scotlandonashoestring love a bit of research. Haha oh yes that's always easy!

Funny you should say that. We’ll be exploring Leven soon.

@@scotlandonashoestring What a beautiful day you picked for the visit! Thanks for letting me know about it.
great content
Thanks!
Were you wearing a new hat or did you get a perm? Looks good!
Hahaha. Takes me back to days when I had hair.

I know, I got more into that episode the more I explored :) Wouldn’t have been “doing” Methil at all if it wasn’t for the van’s incident.
Ian, Do you still do metal detecting, or bottle digging?
I still get out digging when I have time :)
Sorry your mirror got damaged.
Did you swap over the outside temperature sensor, it's needed for the dpf regeneration to work.
Ooh, good point. The new mirror came as a complete unit so hopefully if it was in the old one it’s in the new one. I’ll check, thank you!!
Decent
Thanks
At time 17:29 on your video, you misspelled History, as Hisory.
Oops!!! We’ve both watched that and didn’t notice :)
You lament that Methil is not a place of beauty. On the other side of the coin, places of beauty and interest also have loads of traffic and tourist, and you are free from those things.
That is very true. And there are interesting things to see everywhere if you look hard enough.

Thank you. Our German isn’t great either :) bet there are some great stories behind those graves.
