Yes, he is, and now he is the president (Kancho) of Kyokushin-kan since April this year. Kaicho (now) Royama handed over his role in the organisation to Kancho Okazaki.. The chambered punch is bullshit. No real attacker ever in history comes after you using a choreographed, on cue chambered punch. Unfortunately, all karate styles obsess about the damn chambered punch.
