    Purdy is that guy. Every elite QB has had a 3 int type game.

      Except those elite QBs find the way to win, regardless of personal. I don't hold Purdy to the high standard of a elite QB because Purdy is not paid like one, but the qualities that made Purdy Mr. Irrelevant shows against the great defenses and with goal always being to win the Super Bowl Purdy needs to find some way to overcome his deficiencies against those top defenses.

      @cannolidaddy1449 I highly encourage you to watch film. The issued with the offense are more systemic than Purdy. Purdy had numerous throws that if the receiver ran the route correctly it would've been a catch.

    • @cannolidaddy1449

      @@TheRDRipley Correct the Ronnie Bell interception was on Ronnie, who should not even be on the team after his debacle in LA, but Purdy's throw to Jacob Cowing is a TD if Purdy had the arm strength of an elite QB, Purdy's interception at the goal line frying to force it to Conley in double coverage and trying to force it to Kittle all shows why he is Mr. Irrelevant.

    • @mal6041
      @mal6041 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      No, he's not that guy. Doesn't have the arm talent for it. The whole point for a qb is to have arm talent.

    Alex had a lot of bad years before we got to see him become special, and I love listening to him talk now. People forget all the hard times when you have great times, and even the all time greats were very mortal at many points in their career. Enjoy the best times, and move past the worst!

      I think one of his best years was when Norv Turner was his OC. People (sometimes choose to) forget that he had some truly awful coordinators before Harbaugh and Roman arrived, but Norv saw the potential and had him doing some high level stuff. There was a naked bootleg on a Monday night game that, in my mind, was the precursor to Alex's run against New Orleans in the 2011 Div Rd.

      Add to that the fact that that O-line is in the bottom half of the league in pass blocking, and therefore unable to keep a clean pocket for Purdy we get what happened Back on Oct 20th.

      That has nothing to do to do with being a franchise qb. Rodgers was the better qb out of college. He made more sense being the local kid also. Proved to be a hall of famer. Smith is not. As a 11 year old I knew it was a stupid pick.

    I'm glad to say that I was one of the few, and for a time there VERY few, 49ers fans who believed in Alex Smith. 19 years after he was drafted 1st overall in the 2005 draft, a 3-time pro bowler, Comeback Player of the Year, and one of the most courageous and classy dudes to ever put on a uniform, I'm very happy for Alex and his success. Great to get his take on Purdy as well, especially this week when so many are questioning him, definitely questioning Kyle too, but pointing the finger at Purdy most of all, and yet, he may be one of the few guys in the league who could take it in the chin as Fred Warner aptly put it in his postgame comments, and still bounce back from it really well. Looking forward to Sunday Night. GO NINERS

    I don’t think Purdy is the worry on this team at this point. They have so many injuries that it really feels like the season is over for the Niners. They will struggle to be over 500 I think. You can’t put that on Purdy. He’s basically working with a new team now, with most of his elite players on both sides of the ball out. It’s ridiculous how this season has gone. I just hope Purdy can stay healthy. Brock is the real deal and when that team is 100% they are unbeatable.

      I've watched that SB a thousand times and I think the result would have been the same no matter who was playing at QB. Red zone offense was an issue; specifically the play calling from Gregg Roman. That close to the goal line, with the Ravens defense reeling and exhausted from giving up what could have been (at the time) the greatest comeback in SB history, the Niners chose to not just force their way in with Frank Gore or a designed QB run. That game was always going to be close, the Ravens played Smith and the Niners really tough in their previous Thanksgiving meeting. It was going to come down to execution, and red zone execution was their biggest weakness regardless of who their QB was.
