Dungeness Crab Limits from an 8 foot Inflatable Boat - Tomales Bay

In this video I take an untested boat and motor into Tomales Bay for some crabbing. The risk paid off and I got my limits of Dungeness Crab!

Pulling up your traps with that leaded line on your pvc boat will cut through that rib. Throw an old carpet over it or a rubber mat.

I clicked on this video because I thought it was about crabs from Dungeness, lol. I’m an idiot. Obviously this video was not made at Dungeness in the south of England. This is a good thing as The UK Dungeness is a nuclear power station, lol.

Great that your getting them but maybe don’t tell everyone where you go. This causes way more pressure on the small fishery out there and eventually it will lead to fewer crabs for your next trips. I grew up out there and it used to be amazing and easy to catch but now with everyone talking about it , the fishing has suffered

Is crabbing pretty consistent there throughout the season? Or is it one of those deals where it’s pretty good for the first few month but slows down later in the season

It seems like a better start to the season than the last few years. I usually get at least a few keepers from a boat throughout the season

Yupp there must have been a piece of dirt in the water line. After giving it throttle it cleared the water line and pumped a good stream. Wasn’t going to let that end my fishing day
