It was a matter of great pride when you were awarded fellowship of the Royal College. It is not only a feather in your cap but in Pakistan’s cap also. It is a testimony and tribute to your endeavors to achieve excellence. This is a goal that whole of our nation should pursue. International seminars on medical education on excellence in clinical skills, and workshop on simulation are revolutionary measures under your supervision, which promise to regenerate the medical profession in Pakistan. CPSP and RCP collaborative meetings under your visionary leadership goes to show your objective to make Pakistan a global player in the medical profession. Your talk on challenges of PGME and strategies made by CPSP highlighted your keen interest and grip on the subject. No doubt this is your doctrine and legacy. Respected Prof Khalid sb Just for the sake of 9,000 DNRP fees, CPSP has complicated the maternity leave procedure. One has to travel to Peshawar and then wait for the consent of the Regional Director. What is the aim of this practice-just to grab money via DNRP? Kindly don't complicate this procedure. In this modern era, the world is becoming easier, but we are making things more complicated. Another injustice is that maternity leave is unpaid. The greatest injustice, however, is that the first maternity leave is three months, but the second one is only 45 days. I wonder who made these decisions? I believe the CPSP Council should include a married female member so that she can understand the challenges female students face, as male members may not truly understand the pain involved.
