What a great "fight" and what a great place to start!!! I started doing via-ferrata this year and Baia de Fier is definetly the via-ferrata paradise for me. The routes are more climbing focused and this is what I really like. Although, for me, the first via-ferrata was the one from Cheile Vârghișului (Șoim Călator).
Good Motivation, but please remind everybody that connecting the "resting" lanyard on a vertical dynamic climb is the worst mistake, it makes the via-ferrata set ineffective.
@HundyBills în Via Ferrata you should not use the Via Ferrata Set for resting. Never. Two reasons. a) it lowers you way below the anchor point and b) puts unnecessary stress on you because of this slack between you and the anchor point. I do recommend that one should use a separate personal anchor system PAS for resting. The mention above refers to progression on the vertical not to rest on a vertical. In fact I did used the PAS for progression which is completely wrong. As I was saying în the video, I had no clue what I'm doing at the time, being my first time and not being as educated as I eventually became. In fact, this is the trap many fall into. That false sense of security by wrongly using the safety gear. Been there, done that, I can now see clear how easy human error can occur.

Even if you’re just using it to actually rest? Do you recommend a separate PAS for resting ? Thanks
