Yeah me too.......it was hilarious 😂

I Googled Gareyev after this watching this game to find out more about him and I learnt that he's a skydiver too with over 150 solo jumps to his credit. Incredible.
Damn thas cool af, this is one dude we need to see more of.
iirc he skydived while holding a chessboard once lol, maybe even played it
maybe he can play a game of chess while in freefall.
@@lucasdJAdam only if it classical time limits..
200th like!
Gareyev hold the world record for simultaneous blindfolded chess playing over 42 (i think) 1800 rated players. Guys a beast.
48. Sometime I think it's not much human, but who cares?
Wow!
@@faoria blindfolded and simultaneously having to remember all the setups on alm the boards? If he won more than 5, it's a pretty good achievement.
@@andreidinu7316 GM Timur Gareyev played 48 chess games blindfolded simultaneously from Saturday to Sunday in Las Vegas. The grandmaster from Uzbekistan, who now represents the United States, improved upon previous simuls by FM Marc Lang (46) and GM Miguel Najdorf (45) and hopes that his record will be internationally recognized.
Gareyev in deep concentration. | Photo: Lennart Ootes.
Throughout Saturday, December 3 and a bit of Sunday, December 4, Gareyev played chess simultaneously against 48 participants without sight of the boards. Against 43 on-site opponents and five online opponents, he scored 35 wins, seven draws and six losses.
"May 2013 and a world record 48-board simul in Las Vegas, on December 4, 2016"
Vast knowledge increased!
Gareyev beat me in a blindfold simul last year. It was an absolute honor and I let him play out a smothered mate.
Cool
proof please. pgn please.
Yes, you "let him do it". 😉
@@zlac haha I didn’t resign as it was happening- but I certainly didn’t mean to invite it!
@@michaelpaulson2543 Nice :)
the "shame on You" Moment Was a Day Maker For Me😂😂😂❤️❤️
I remember Timur Gareyev playing his world record 48-board simul while riding an exercise bike. This man is a true legend.
Edit: Forgot to mention he played all the boards blindfolded...
I could do that too. I would lose all games tho
@@ShamGam3 Garayev won most games though. Imagine constantly visualizing all 48 positions without seeing the boards. That’s insane…
@@samuelbruyneel I cant even vizualize what I had for breakfast
@@ShamGam3 Me neither, but that’s because I don’t eat breakfast…
Because of this video I searched a bit more information about the world record blindfold simul by Gareyev, and I found a video in which agad covered this insane achievement:

jobava not being the wildest chess player in a group photo is not something we see everyday 😀 .
You need Rapport in there as well
@@maniniescobar244 Rapport looks pretty cool tbh
Great pictures yeah!
Thanks for not missing a great game from the recent past event!
I met Gareyev accidentally on the way to my hotels swimming pool at the Vegas tourney this year… was absolutely amazing when I realized I was casually conversing with him lol was ecstatic. Hilarious, laid back and awesome man.
I like hearing "It s not all black and white" in a game where the pieces are literally black and white 2:34
2:34 Antonio: It's not that all black and white.
Me: *We are watching chess... uh... right?*
I laughed hilariously at the slow motion capture! Great content
7:53
😆 🤣 😂
I love those swirling slow mo captures.
“If you thought take the pawn then shame on you”
I was thoroughly shamed.
Even proud to have seen *oh-so-quick*, that the bishop can't take my pawn due to the pin then. Guess I would have instantly played it in a rapid endgame... shame.
Any of your thinking of capturing on C7 shame on you 😂 best line ever. 10:20 lol
Yeah, he just knew many were thinking this and had a little fun :D
Shame on me, I took the pawn. LOL 😆. Love your videos. They always make my day better. Keep up the good work Antonio. You will long be remembered for your contributions to the chess world.
Nice! I love nimzo-indian games so thank you, Antonio.
Timur is commonly known as blindfold king in chess world! I heard that he sacrificed 6 or 7 pawns on one game idk which tho 😅
it would be cool to see that game
@@andreadrago3208 yup definitely! If i get my hands on that game again i will share the link 😀
Those 2 photos made my day way more positive, thanks. 🥰
Wild stuff! Perfect to get the weekend started. Thanks!
Timor Gareyev, eh? Didn't know about him before this video, he seems like a friendly and colorful character and from watching this game I believe he's an artist on the board. Hope to see more of him on your channel, thanks for entertaining us and improving our vast knowledge!
That feeling when a draw actually feels like the fairest of results.
I met this guy at the Chicago open yesterday, GM Timur. Great guy such an inspiration
Thank you for this game, it truly improved my sunday!
that hobo sure can play chess
Always makes the video that much more interesting when it's your go-to opening
7:53 the best part
#suggestion Fabiano Caruana vs Alexander Grishchuk Rd 12 FIDE World Rapid Chess Championship 2021 round 12
Thats been a popular suggestion
ahh that last photo of mate with the stylish gear and a dbz shirt made my morning. what a dude. awesome game, thanks
And thank-you Agad, for bringing positive energy into our lives every day, your channel is so well executed and engaging.
And it was in this position, at 12:23 that Timur's power level reached over 9000!!!!!
"it's not all that black and white" while analyzing a chess game, perfect
7:53 slow motion capture 😂
Most enjoyable draw I've watched in a long time.
Gareyev is full of positive energy. I met him and he was just a fun guy. I'll never forget how he didn't have to acknowledge us and act superior like so many others I met. i.e Kamsky or Yermolinsky, but he was just the nicest guy
Love the quote. For a fairly profane man he was quite wise.
I appreciate the positive energy indeed, thank you for this video.
What's not to like? Timur always brings something interesting to chess, has a great attitude, and fun games, and well you quoted Sagan! So 100% win.
First vid of yours that I’ve ever seen all the best pause the video moves
9:51 one of the best tactics has to be attacking from behind ...
Good thumbnail
Hahaha the Dragon Ball t-shirt, reminds me of Nepo with that amazing DOTA 2 t-shirt.
I never thought I'd see a Carl Sagan quote here!
Still a voice to be reckoned with.
I think it's been quite a few videos since the last slow motion move. Great game, great video!
Gareyev seems like a super cool guy. Can't believe I've never heard of him until now
Loved this one Agad :)
Very enjoyable game. He also defeated Firouza with out of the blue prep..wow
10:24 I've never felt more ashamed in my life.
this game is so bizarre that when I saw the thumbnail I thought this was a chess960 game.
It's a standard idea to sack a piece on the king side early in the game, but making white come and spend all those moves taking it, while you develop and open up the rook file, that's definitely an improvement. Seeing that queen sitting on e1 sure was weird.
First time I need not pause the video to find the moves...a proud attacker😭🤩
“It’s not that black and white”
You’re a punny man.
Carl Sagan was the man. Cosmos is so brilliant.
If you saw just the photo at the end, you'd probably think Gareyez was a chef! 😂😂
Timur Gareyev is an incredible baller as well
Agadmator: I am preparing a chess quiz.
Medo: In that case I'd better bone up on my game.
Ok! " Shame on me" 😂
5:49 Why is Kf8 a must? You can also play Be6, cos the bishop is guarded there by Black's rook.
I guess Be6 is not as good because exd4 pins the bishop immediately which could be very unpleasant.
@@SuperDreamliner787 Well, then the Queen can help to protect the black Bishop with Qf6. White can't attack the Bishop once more immediately so Black has time to move the King out of the check. Isn't it?
@@keksigerkeks3276 I agree. Could still be unpleasant, but maybe playable.
No one deserves to lose even in a blindfolded game for such a terrific play.
I see where you're coming from.
One of the best games I've ever seen
Great photos!
Dragon Ball + chess = incredible guy😄
agadmator--love your channel. but often hard on fabi??
I love the slow motion
He looks like that guy from the vice show "hate thy neighbor"
Good stuff!
10:20 of course I was about to capture the pawn on C7
At 5:47 , black can also block with bishop.
2:34 Only agadmator can say "Its not all black and white" talking about chess.
4:18 wouldn't it be better to play ng5.. giving up the queen... then bh7.. nh7..??
Agadmator's first law: If you need to win a game play b4. Amendment: In rare occasions that b4 doesn't win you the game search for another candidate in the same raw. P.S. At the end when the white queen was chasing the black pieces, it reminded me of a documentary with an orca whale chasing seals. In every attack one seal was eaten.

Tcec season 21 Stockfish vs LC0 Superfinal Game 63
LC0 had three passed pawns and everybody thought LC0 will win but then SF pulled off a miracle save.
1:17. Biship takes pawn. Black resigns...
This was quite the game!
Yeah, thrilling game!
Yes, I like the photos.
feel free to pause the game and play some GM level rapid. free puzzle rush in every video love it
There’s something just rather ironic about the statement “It’s not all that black and white…”
Fun fact: Gareyev is the blindfold chess world record holder, playing 49 simultaneous games against very strong opponents.
on 5:47
Why you can not defend the check with bishop on g4 and move it to e6?
The thumbnail had me thinking the spanish enigma has ripped his clothes on the stage after bobby fischer showed up to play after Karpov
are there examples of games that have gone into new territory (ie no examples in the database) but then gone back to a known position that is in the database again? I mean there are more than one way to get to certain positions
Love the sacrifice.

#SUGGESTION Alireza Firouza vs Timur in the same Tournie was even super thriller.
The title is me every game.
what is your daily routine?
watch two games and play two games online.
who changed your routine?
who else? Agad! :)
"It's not all that black and white." Umm, in chess, it is.
I swear when he says pause the video I think of the worst moves (within reason) and it's always that move. Worst being "I don't see the genius behind it"
In the first 'pause the video' there are three winning moves available. (I was following with my computer, at first because I couldn't believe that ...h6 followed by ...g5 hadn't been played before, and then because after 15....Qe7 Black is totally lost. (Stockfish has it at +3.5 if and only if White plays Bd3, which he did.)
Nvm, you showed all three. The move White played is the weakest of the three, but still winning.
aside for the pawn to g4 pause the video moment, the other pause the video moments seem like very natural moves to make. quite surprised white didnt find the right continuation
wow what a game. The move d6 feels wrong to me in these specific wild positions (too slow). I was black and was on board 1 of a 6 person team playing in the English league one year in the 70s, and got a line like this as black where I played c5 with the idea of playing h6 and g5 against Bg5. Why I remember the game is because I won it and was then informed that my opponent had not lost a game on board 1 of his team in 2 years (!). I outplayed him in the transition to the endgame.
@Tom Jones: You think that was special? I can tell you it is not unusual.
so you are like around 60 years old now and watching TH-cam? really advanced for someone your age
@@ΝικόλαςΧατζής-κ7υ Not really. My 85-year-old mother also watches TH-cam.
@@davidcopson5800 well apparently you're the guy that always tries to one up everyone. Good luck
@@ΝικόλαςΧατζής-κ7υ "Apparently"? According to who? (thanks for the good luck wishes)
For a second, i thought he was StoneMountain64 😂
GREAT GAME
I thought he is Enigma!
For those who doesn't know this
Gareyev is the REY ENIGMA tbh
i managed to find the move in the pause the video section for possibly the first time in agadmator's videos, so i was feeling pretty good on that...until i captured with the queen and got shamed for it.
If any you thinking about this ShAmE On yOu🙂
g5 being a new game is... crazy to me. No titled player was ever like "gtfo" to that bishop? Never?
Seems rather dangerous to open up your king with most of your pieces still undeveloped.
@@Pumbear Sure but people like Dubov are alive and not always sober during official games. Just goes to show how wide opening theory still is.
