Barch, being a former wrestler, looked gassed but kept grinding, even in the last seconds. Tackett definitely had more pace but Barch remained dangerous to the end despite looking really cooked. Having said that, as a former wrestler, it amazes me that Barch remained open to that blast double the entire match. Never adjusted his stance or approach on the feet. Both tough guys for sure.
PJ really wasn't himself this event. I don't know if he had a rough weight cut or something but this wasn't the same PJ we saw at the ADCC for example.
Oh man, at 3:44 I was like, don't stop it, so exciting!! I hate the reset because it isn't realistic in live combat, plus, great set ups get disrupted, plus, plus, I doesn't matter how good a ref is, they could never, ever reset perfectly. They would have to factor in emotion, physiology, position, on and on. It's time we get some bigger mats or add a cage. I especially cringe at raised platforms. Who cares what I think though, just expressing.
WNO needs to use a 4' deep pit, so there are no stops, and fouls for throwing out of the pit. or something... A bigger mat.... something. all the resets get annoying.
These guys are animals for taking these matches so close to ADCC trials
