  • Kettlebells can increase your punching power.
Check out these 3 solid lower body exercises that will give you explosive power and set you up to have the conditioning to knock out your opponent even in the later rounds.
I use the 1 Hand Kettlebell Swing, The Bottom up Squat and a Lunge variation to get the Punch power your looking for.

I do lunges all the time, but have never combined back and forward. I'll definitely be giving this a try!

I took up kettlebells because I'm an old man in his 60s who is trying to avoid becoming feeble. I'm not planning on punching anyone, but these exercises look useful. Thanks.

Heavy snatches imitates the punch the best..unilateral hinge move plus lockdown on your shoulder and fist..overall tecnique of a heavy snatch has the best transfer into a punch in my experience..

@@ricktkathletics4786 yeah but it's notjing like a punch! Arms are wide, it's a swing rather than a straigth shoulder extension

I appreciate your comments and always ready to educate. So the snatch is a swing-pull and punch... the kettlebell needs to be pulled in to a position that is closer to the body and then the handlle needs to be "punched" 180 degress. The harder and faster that "punch" is, the cleaner it lands in the overhead position.. I'm available for video help if you need... your welcome. Keep getting stronger 💪

Why do you exhale so Intensely, are you supposed to shoot out your breathe like that?
What is the purpose of breathing that way?
    I don't know.
    Thanks.

    • @ricktkathletics4786

Hey Frank. So the purpose in that breath is to increase bracing tension. (Torso stiffness) Its like firing a Canon from a soft surface, better it be a stable surface.. for increased power.
