Seeing younger peeps enthusing about older cars is a great thing. Looked like a cracking event
Older cars are far better. I've got a 1962 p4 and I'm 18
@@cheetahgamerz9448Legend :D
It was truly a fantastic day well worth the 676 mile round trip from Edinburgh. Even watching this video it's amazing the numbers of cars I missed...
There was so much there! I truly eclectic mix.
I wish I can fly over to the UK and attend the show. Would love to see such classic cars in South Korea and here in Singapore.
It was very busy- a great atmosphere though, was nice to see you briefly- I was a bit worried bringing my 2005 Espace, but I needn’t have, so much variety, and great to be a small part of it! Thanks to all 😊
Just realised, this was the last one? Oh well!
Now you need to watch the new one as well 😅
@@furiousdriving yea indeed! Just finished it, only Espace there I think- huzzah!
Thanks for the kind comments about the silver 156 V6. It is a family favourite! Great video, great event! Well done all.
That’s me arriving in my MX-5 on 18 seconds! 👋
Nice... Hard top?
A jolly good event! And you caught me breaking in to my own Reliant…
Sure there's lots of special but you find yourself staring open mouthed at what used to be everyday ordinary. The Peugeot 504, beautiful, the Morris 1100 magnificent ❤️
Great to see you Matt and really enjoyed the show!
And you, huge thanks for being part of it!
Nice to see you too Jon, I love your road videos.
Thank you for showing my purple mx5! Really made my night 😂
No problem 👍 Loved it!
The second Ulysse I have seen of that generation, because I sold mine 6 days ago sadly, that one looks in mint condition to be fair so that’s a treasure! My one lives at an old nuclear base in Sandwich (Kent) now
Hi thanks for the comment.I'm the owner of the Ulysse you saw chatting to Matt. Going to give it some more tlc soon, mot not far off and valet to get it looking its best.
@@stephenlynch3411 how much fun do you have finding parts for it haha? Nice to see yours on the proper Ulysse wheel trims, getting hold of those is like finding buried treasure I found! What’s the mileage on yours?
@@iluvfionaleggateHi, yeah the wheel trims are near impossible to get now. Servicing and general mechanicals not a problem at moment. Not really needed any bespoke parts yet. Its a petrol and just turned 79,000, so still pretty low. I got it with around 53,000 I think. I've had it for nearly 10 years now and is used as a second car for family trips out or car shows now.
Mine was the standard Rover Metro 1.1S in white next to the Blue Alfa. I was the poor soul who had his previous one stolen, joyriden and burnt out in Kent 😢😢
That was devastating, so sorry to hear about your car
Great job Matt, I’m glad you’ve pulled off a very successful event and that the weather was compliant.
Thanks 👍
I owned a Citroen Synergie ( l Fiat Ulysse with a Citroen badge ) for years. It had the 1.9 XUD engine. It was far more reliable and robust than an Espace or a Gdlaxy ( we'd owned both ). We covered over 50k miles using veg oil. We could drive 170 miles to the Norfolk coast for £13! Body started to show it's age when we sold it with over 200k on the clock. We would never see another one ( or the Fiat Ulysse or the Peugeot 806 ) 12-13 years ago.
I loved the part when my Skoda got mentioned "a modern Skoda" 😂, but seriously thanks for you, Steph, Ian, Carly and Matt for organising it all, it was a great day 🙂
newer than 1990 is modern!

Hi matt thanks to all of you for a gd show today and the little convoy home did you manage to make it back in the Alfa ok or did u have to get it recovered and it was nice to meet you and the rest of the Furious driving family 👍
A superb show, thank you to everyone for all your hard work in organizing it. I will definitely be back again! You were seconds away from filming my Eunos Roadster V-spec at the far end of Mayfair 😂
Aww nearly got to my 68 Bay parked all on its own near the rover police car at the end of your vid.
the battery died there and I wasnt able to get back to that corner, or most of that side of the car park!
Thank you for showing your appreciation of my Rover P6 (Mr. Blue Sky) Matt.. (Phil)
You know I love a P6!
Kitch in rockstar mode and Chops RR without a bootfull of bottles leaking old oil - what a time to be alive !!!!
I'm so sorry I missed this - I would have brought the former Practical Classics Allegro along had I known!!
maybe to the next one!
It really was a very enjoyable day. My friend and I got talking to James Walshe at one point (he's a really nice bloke), plus someone who worked for Ford on the Mk1 Focus facelift - that's my Focus at 17:19. The almost identical one you commented on at 25:19 was actually behind me in the queue going in, but he parked somewhere else when I was hoping we could have parked next to each other.
The Rover 75 is a beautiful looking car. A genuine bullseye 🎯
What an awesome selection of motors! Would love to bring a couple from the workshop down next time, looked so good well done to you all 👏🏼
Congrats for organising such a great show! I wasn’t able to make it but hopefully I’ll get there next time.
Hi Matt! What a great show!! The “sweet little Mk1 Clio” was mine! If you would like to test drive it on your channel, you’d be more than welcome! It is an auto sadly though!
Im a big fan of those 1st gen Clios, lovely cars! Where abouts are you?
@@furiousdriving I’m in Suffolk,Ipswich to be precise, however I could bring it pretty much anywhere, where are you based? I’ve got to pop a cambelt kit on it before I do any massive distance though but could bring it to you and have a weekend away!
My mazda looks tatty compared to some cars but it didnt matter ppl still looked & took pics of it that is what rustilval will be known as everyone was welcome
Matt, you are making great content, but this shaky blurred out off focus is making me seasick ...
Thanks to everyone who organised this, was a really great day.
Mine was the red Volvo 740 saloon, so glad to see it on your video :)
(Had to watch on a tablet as the shakiness when playing it on the big TV actually mades us all feel sick!)
did my brain trip out or did it repeat, lol
Yes, it repeated
That green Alfasud is the car of the show for me 😍
It really was a fantastic show and loved every minute of it. Thank you Matt for getting a picture with me.. Was great meeting all my favourite Car TH-camrs and am pleased to say you are all just as cool in person as you are in Video.. My only regret is I wish I had something to show off in the exhibitors but I don't think a 64 reg Octavia estate would turn many heads. ;D.. Either way it was great fun and I got a Beany plus Magnets of the Crown Vic, Volvo and Alfa 147 (Please make a Eunos one. ;)) Your son is a great little business man.. He did a great job running your vender table.. But thank you all once again for producing this show and I will definetely be back for the next one. :)
Great video, I’ll have to go there next year with my rust bucket Rover 25 ☺️👍🏻
Gutted I couldn’t attend this (work) in my Rover 75 Tourer V6 whose purchase was partly inspired by your video review of the Wedgewood Blue one three years ago. That review got watched several times during my hunt for the right example. Glad to see the high turnout of 75/ZT & Rovers in general & indeed all the Volvos, especially the boxy estates.
That 1970 Chevy Caprice is interestingly taking the same amount of space as a modern electric SUV
I enjoyed myself here, great event👍
Brief appearance at 31:44 by the Sandero my brother and I rented because none of our classics are working and even the newish (20 year old!) daily let us down! Surprised to see people actually checking it out - though of all the vehicles Europcar could have given us I guess a Dacia is amongst the most Rustival appropriate!
Good news! ;)
@@MdvK13979 ha! that's what we said when Europcar told us what vehicle we were getting
What an awesome show, so much nice cars that I haven't seen in years. Love the car culture in England. Thanks for the walkaround Matt!
Hoping to bring a car next year, enjoyed it as a visitor. The information sheets in the dash was a nice idea.
I enjoyed it and still seeing cars that i missed when i was there
Was hoping to go to this one but i was too busy. Hopefully if you continue doing rustival i can get my old rover there
It was a cracking show. Nice to see my car, near the green Alfasud, and slipping under the radar...
Great to see part of your collection other than in "The Barn".
5:06 my Rover coupè 😄 the wing is Tahiti Blue the rest is Polynesian blue 😄
You just drooled over a Multipla then sailed right past the Jensen Interceptor! I was so outraged I put my foot through the screen and sent TH-cam the bill!
My god, I am so sad I missed it!! I will be coming next year and bringing some tat around!
We had a great time and you mentioned our car, the red Vauxhall Astra estate H MK4 in all its boring but much loved glory! Thanks to you and the team!
Thats my 1st civic and me walking away in the shorts
Congratulations to you all. You pulled it off. Amazing success. Well done Matt and team.
Well done to everyone involved in organising Rustival. It was a really great event!!!
"No don't stop de Rustival!" (apologies to Alan Price). 😁👍
A festival like this would be perfect for my 309 Graffic.
Awesome video, and event, as usual.
Many thanks for sharing Matt and for helping organise such a phenomenal show. Such a good variety of cars. 😊👍
I'm really pleased you had a fantastic turnout and the weather was kind. I'd have liked to have been there but it was out of my Twizy's 40 mile range and my 8 year old Audi TT didn't seem appropriate. 🙂
Great stuff Matt, nice seening the 205 and The S type. seem to be rarer than the 75s now.. were there any 90s SEATS? there. would love to bring my 97 Cordoba estate to the UK
I didnt see any, the oldest was the Ibiza Cupra
Wow! Congrats on hosting such an awesome show! Love the amazing variety of vehicles of all shapes, sizes and eras that came out.
That's my Stellar at 38:14! It was the high spec. for a low price which was the main selling point back in the day.
Excellent show! Glad you managed to get around the whole place! Mines the old Rover 75 @17.52.
Will certainly attend rustival 2 when it happens!
my yellow seicento made it on a video lol
I got excited for a moment, you nearly filmed my van 😆
Great show, enjoyed the eclecticism, needs to be a weekender with camping to enjoy them all to the full 😀
Nice to chat with you.
thats not a bad idea!
You've gone quiet on TH-cam 😢 suppose the weather doesn't help and only absolutely necessary repairs are completed this time of year...🙂👍🇮🇪
Hi @terryatkinson3182, Yeah the weather has been awful and various other grown up stuff being done. I have been amassing parts for a long awaited project so I will be back soon 😀
Just about caught my XJ at 14:04, what a time to be alive.
Really enjoyed being there.
I've watched a few videos of the show and it's all good, especially liked the cinquecentos i saw. Well done to the old lad who built his own 3 wheeler and won a prize
As i said on Ians stream i couldn't make it as I had arranged to collect a fridge and sofa-bed for a property i have purchased. However the drive to and from Droitwich where I collected my items was joyful as we caught a little white Fiat 127 around Redditch area and saw a load of the cars on the M40 motorway heading south and on the M42 we were passed by the Citroën BX GT heading home northwards.
That was Garry Gobbin, he loves his Rovers!
An excellent show. Very freindly and shows how dull modern cars are
It was a brilliant show! Your video sums it up so well; our eyes were flicking everywhere and spotting cars we loved. Can’t wait for the next one.
Looked brilliant Matt, well done to all of you.
So much to see and it looks like I missed a few cars too. Great show and to see you again. Here’s to next edition!
32:05 love that Disco with the new Defender steelies 🤩
The way the video cuts just as you got to my 307 hurt me deep in my soul 😂
Great event yesterday, Matt! Very excited for the next one. 😀
Thanks for catching Mrs Mazda, I forgot to take a picture of my own car 🤦🏻♂️
…and more Citroen BXs than have ever been in one place since they were last in the showrooms.
Amazing day out, well done to everyone involved whether as an organiser or participant.
Sorry to tell you but at 4:30 that is a MK2 Cavalier, at 32:56 they were a MK4 and 5 Astra. Looked a great day and nice to see weather held out.
Thanks for the video!
I enjoy the car shows you film! :)
Several seconds spent looking round the Fiat Multipla, yet a 3 second mention for a Jensen Interceptor lol
Thanks for keeping the "Epic" Honda Accord in the edit... 29:19 ... Also to litteraly bump into you whilst perusing your fleet ... A great time had by all ...THANKS!!!
As an American, I'm giggling over how big you think the Caprice is! Average size vehicle at one of our car meets. I can't wait to come over next fall and see so many cars completely different from what I see all the time
Why didn’t you hover around that mark 1 cavalier? My first car!
7:23 OMG I remember those in early 2000's our school did have ONE and it was the thing to borrow from library for school projects!
Wow those yugos were cool. They dissappeared from the streets in my country long time ago, and they were being made here.
Gutted I couldn't go. I've been waiting for your vid on it. Thanks
The Celica at 24.40 is mine, Gen3 RA61 Celica Avon Convertible, 1st one of 4 made. The same car that is an the sales brochure. I've owned it since 2012.
In SF, in the 90s, I knew a group of Britt Boys who to a man, drove V8s & bought gas with joy. Corvette, Trans Am, Road Runner, anything with a huge V8. Never quite understood why, but now I do....
What a fantastic mix of motors well done to everyone 👍👍👍👍👍
Looks like it was an awesome mix of cars! Well done!
It was a great event, thanks!
it's funny how moch you looked at the stellar wthout noticing the rv8!
That dog was still barking right to the very end🤣
The Honda Integra you mention is actually an FD2 Civic Type R, Japanese market only, as they didn’t receive the FN2 Type R (06-10) that we had.
well spotted!
What an amazing event ! I say succes! 👍🏻👍🏻🆙
Great coverage I'm 57.years old and this is right up my street 👍 they can keep the electric car's rubbish. The scam of the century 😅😅thank you
It was a great event 🎉🎉
sorry I missed you there
Great show! Which camera did you use herr, it looks all out if focus at thr start? Also very shaky and 720p. Or is it still processing?
it was taking too long to process the stabilisation to process, Im not sure it finished..
Great video but wow you forget how lucky you've been when you go back to 720p 😅
at least its not just me yea it looks shocking at 720p
@@TheClanDFAThe video is out of focus.
@@DashCamSerbiayea i get that it was more 720p dont look great on 4k monitor but could be the focus not sure youtube can be funny sometimes
31:47 Thanks for the mention Matt! You know, you COULD own a Rover 75 tourer if you wanted to... #EverythingIsForSale
Matt you got so distracted so many cars vans ect and l don't mind you been distracted by Alfa Romeo's but that Toyota Corana l was so happy to see that it is amazing it wasn't rusty also the Lexus LS400 very nice
Thank you for the nice comments about my tigra!!!
Have you got bad memories associated with the Montego?
