    That looks very awesome. I really like the way that grain looks. But most beginners can’t afford that much Walnut . Heck even I can’t afford that much Walnut.😂

      Ha! That’s probably true.

    Great job, I have 2 pieces of walnut I've been holding on to for a while, maybe I'll borrow your design...LOL. At 11:37 where you're putting in the feet I see separations between some of the boards, next time, before you oil, fill that in with CA glue (brown), you won't even see them.

    That board looks greet. Thank for your tips. By the way how do you handel your sales of cutting boards. Do sell out of state.

      I’ve mostly sold to people I know. I don’t really ship but could if I needed to I suppose.

    I see you’re running your boards through the planer and then right to a glue up. I have the same planer but I get terrible snipe. Even after ensuring the in feed and out feed tables are flush. How do you do it?
    Thanks

      I have a helical head on my planer that helps a lot. I did a video on it if you want to check it out. You may also want to try a planer sled. Hope that helps!

    SO Beautiful ! WHERE DO YOU GET THE WALNUT....I looked up walnut on ebay and it's WAY more expensive than what you were paying I think

      Thanks! Most of the time you have to get stuff like walnut from a local hardwood dealer. I’m sure there are some places that will ship, but I prefer to see it before I buy it anyway.

    Great video... your DeWalt thickness planer, does it make snipe with that short wood ? or any snipe at all on any wood ? Thanks..

    • @patriot-maker
      @patriot-maker  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks! It makes minimal snipe on short wood, but now that I switched to a helical head blade it’s nonexistent. I made a video about it if you want to go see it.

    How do you recommend getting all the dust off before oiling it? Mineral spirits, water, or just air compressor

    • @patriot-maker
      @patriot-maker  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I like to hit it real good with an air compressor then mineral spirits.

    It would be far better if it was backlit. Can it be used for hot pans?

    • @patriot-maker
      @patriot-maker  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m sure it could, but it would probably scorch it.

    What size was the walnut board you used?

      I’m sorry, I don’t remember.

    Why would you use a jigsaw and THEN take it to the miter saw? Do those three seconds really make you more money? They make you look like an idiot.

    • @patriot-maker
      @patriot-maker  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I did it for safety reasons. My miter saw at the time couldn’t support a board that long.

    Anyone watching DO NOT put end grain in your planer

      Garbage starts at .011 seconds , I never made it past it, I tuned in to see a cutting board ,not a jet launching from an carrier plus the music sucks,it too starts at 11 seconds , maybe with a only 15 people commenting maybe I am alone maybe not . Next@@patriot-maker
