I discovered it right before putting this one together, I'd heard of the game when it came out but never played it. The soundtrack has like this vaguely Japanese meets vaguely Ninja Gaiden meets Iron Maiden vibe, some cool tunes on there!
It's definitely cool that there's so many resources still covering some of these obscure off the beaten path games. That let 80s/very early 90s time period must be a gold mine for your channel as the combination of low memory/minimal artwork and lack of localization was a perfect storm for weird games!
I don't know the game, but it sounds awesome, and insane licks (especially that intro lol). That bit at 1:51 is quite pretty too. Reading the description and Ninja Gaiden did indeed cross my mind. The plot kind of makes me think of Kojima's stuff too lol.
This was one I never got to play, but I remember nintendo power running a feature on it. I checked out a long play online, it kind of plays like a mix of the sunsoft batman and ninja gaiden 2, but the bosses seem significantly harder than the stages. The soundtrack though is crazy! That bit at 1:51 is the crazy arpeggios, the precise voicings on the actual soundtrack are even crazier than my approximation! I always love discovering hidden gem soundtracks that I missed!
Feels like whipping my red hair on the ennemies :p
It brings such nostalgia.
Thanks for this moment !
Ha, classic NES weird plot with an unusually rocking soundtrack!
I never thought Kabuki Quantum Fighter's music went hard until now

@thesosomusician I've known about the game for a while because... Well... Username might be a clue
