They look phenomenal. How old is your tree? I planted a few Fuyu and Jiro here in Woodend Victoria and they are growing a bit each year. Do they need a lot of drainage? Love your videos, thank you!!
The tree is around 6 to 7 yo. It's an alternate bearer. Not a sook tree. A nearby Lamb Hass avocado succumbed to root rot due to my forgetting the hose for 2 hours last summer.
@@RealLifeFruitopia too bad about the lamb hass. I managed to save two avocado trees I bought from NSW last year during COVID. It took 4 weeks to arrive and the roots completely dried up and nearly all the leaves fell off in the packaging. I potted them up in just perlite and coco peat and fed them through the leaves only with a spray mix of 5ltr water, 2 tablespoons seasol, 2 tablespoons Powerfeed and 2 tablespoons of white sugar. They sooked for 4-5 months and by around 6-7 months they flushed out and looking very healthy now. Sprayed every 2 weeks. This is main thing I do to help my avocados through the cold Winter here. I had a Bacon avocado covered in snow for a day a couple years ago and didn’t blink and eyelid, had no damage.
Our persimmons are almost orange as its Oct 4th in Los Angeles . It's been a crazy year as far as we have fewer oranges ever . Last year my 10 year old Imoto and Jiro had 150 fruits each . This year maybe 75 hiro and 20 Imoto . However the Imoto are known for getting riper at least 2 weeks before the Jiro trees , but they are green/gold and behind the Jiro fruits ? La Nina is to blame ? I hope next year we go back to El Nino and get more rain and cold hours. Your Jiro are big . Mine are the same size . Imoto is supposed to be as big but mine are 10% smaller . Not much but my beneficiaries dont complain . Furman , a 92 year old Mexican man at my church will be very happy in 2 weeks . That what makes growing excess does , give it to the people who appreciate it
Likewise I give away our excess to select fruit lovers, usually Asians and Africans who grew up surrounded with fruit. Thanks for sharing!

It also has the taste of Kaimito, which is pretty tasteless. Kaimitos are not sought after in the Asian countries, but outside where they don't have it, people buy it and expensive
Caimito vary in taste, I've had tastless and unforgettable ones.
I am considering buying a persimmon tree. I was told this type is astringent when not fully ripe, is that so. Can you give me any information where to get the net for my sapodilla tree so I can keep out the iguana and raccoons. Thanks for sharing. Peace and blessings.
Jiro persimmon are non astringent, meaning they can be eaten unripe. You didn't say where you are, nets are from Bunnings stores across Australia, Home Depot/Lowes in the US.

Not sure how tropical it is but grows well for me. Slow growing but well suited to Melbourne.
