In the OG I definitely go with Leon and Ada, but in the Remake I like Ashley more, her relationship with Leon feels fresh and has a lot of potential. Although to be honest, even if it's not with Leon, I'd like to see Ashley again, her character was so well done this time that it would be a shame if she was forgotten like in the OG.
I like the remake Ashley too! Definitely a memorable character that CAPCOM would be stupid enough to not bring back in future games. Although Leon and Ashley's interactions are cute, he's simply being professional and curt to a sweet girl who had a crush on him, so I ship him with Ada. I just wish Ada would be more emotionally open enough for Leon to be happy, which is difficult when both of them are pros who deeply care for each other despite being married to their jobs. So for now they just have this batman x catwoman thing going on.
@@teru_9921 I really like Ada in OG, since Is less serious she goes well being this femme fatale miss behaving, and her relationship with Leon is very spicy to see, but since Remake takes more into account human condition and the suffering, it's harder to pass her off as someone you should like, and I think that's why she's so soulless in Remake. I love Ada in OG, in Remake I think she has potential, if only the devs decided to give her a different development besides the love interest. As for Ashley and her relationship with Leon, I interpreted it differently, but one good thing is that devs left this matter quite ambiguous, so I see all interpretations valid.
Now beyond that, I dream with another video game with Ashley, the fact that she remained as a normal person gives us something new in a universe full of protagonists who in two minutes grab a gun and start serve bullets, so I'd like to see her as the protagonist, in a survival horror with very realistic mechanics, perhaps set in a European environment in winter, with very romantic locations such as a theater, mansions or even an amusement park, very princess-like, but terrifying.

That's true in the general sense. We certainty aren't going to see Ashley again, but they definitely had more character development in the remake to make their relationship more memorable. Ada, on the other hand, is virtually nonexistent in the remake of RE4.

So the movie CG Damnation which canon to resident evil lore. There was a short scene where Ada was asking Leon "When they can continue where they left off that night". The Director of the movie said that after the events of 4 and between 5. Leon got into contact with Ada and they did actually go on a romantic date but it was cut short.
He said he wanted to explore Ada and Leon's relationship in the movie and Re 6 more but Capcom didn't allow it.
So yeah they do kind of have a thing for each other.

Ironically Ada in the OG Re4 is more cold towards Leon than the remake version despite having a voice that alot of people loved. I think her femme fatale voice is more evidence of her manipulating Leon by using that persona compared to the Remake where she sounds blunt but isn't adopting a persona since Leon already knows her secret. She seems more on the level with him in the Remake
I have to say, I love the difference in the two remake versions of Leon. 2's Leon is an adorable dork, a pure hearted soft boy. Meanwhile in 4 he's become more hardy and grizzled, but the goofy dork still looms under the less soft face. The marvel-esque one liners made bearable by their play with his personality and more solidified skills as a field operative.
I hope that the producers considers in makes a DLC chapter of Operation Javier, to explores the past of Krauser in Resident Evil 4 Remake, and to that Manuela Hidalgo can do other appearance.

I love it!…..in RE 4 remake Ada and Leon fought the final boss together don’t everybody see’s that that’s a real team right there ya’ll !…Ada’s like a comrade who would keep an eye on Leon when he’s in trouble and reach out to save his life!… without Ada’s helped Leon wouldn’t be our favorite protagonist this long he would be sacrificed like Ethan Winters already. Because Ada make sure Leon is safe and succeeding his mission then Ada well be happily continue to meet him and saves his lives

Leon in the RE 4 remake seems to be barely able to contain his contempt for Ada. It is less flirty and more 'the only reason I am not killing her is because she isn't trying to kill me'
Ada is still a flirt who does seem to have 'some' feeling for him but is more utilitarian then romantic.
It is there under the surface. But you can see that Leon does care for her. She clearly has a grasp on him that no other women do in the series, since she is his opposite. And sometimes, those really do attract. While Leon is honest and to the point, chivalrous and ultimately kind, Ada is deceitful, often times withholds the truth and is more neutral/lawful evil in her approach to people.
I like their conversation on the boat. I feel like Ada gave validation to Leon by saying he hasn't changed and Leon asking that question probably makes Ada realize in the end of this game that she somewhat has changed after meeting Leon looking at how she turned her back from Wesker. But we also don't know if she really changed, it could be that Ada has always been like that from the beginning

I don't see these as a 'crush'. Helena shows no romantic interest in Leon, and the ending is her trying to help him connect with Ada - whom she knows Leon likes. Claire hasn't shown any interest in getting with Leon in any game or movie - it's mostly like a trauma bond. In fact, during one of the CGI movies, Leon is asked out by someone else while Claire is present - and he accepts the date. Leon and Claire have seen some shit - like two Raccoon incident ass-kickers who keep in touch about the latest biohazard shenanigans during coffee breaks.

I enjoy the 2023 Remake of RE4 a lot and I can't get enough of it. I don't hate the 2005 RE4 Classic it's just I never got into Resident Evil in 1996 because I was just a kid since 1992. I got my chance since Late 2017-Early 2018 and I'm the RE Veteran I am right now. I still appreciate how the classes versions of the RE games are as much as I do the Modern Remakes
Starting in 2017 doesn't make you an re veteran. Vets are there from the beginning. I wouldn't count myself one and I started with re4 og in 2006 as a child and followed since then.

I would say I'm an Alone in the Dark veteran. There would be no Biohazard game without the Infogrames games.
